*ONE YEAR LATER*
A feast was to be held in King's Landing for the birth of Alyssa Targaryen: daughter of Prince Daemon Targaryen and his third wife, the Lady Feyre Stark. They named their daughter after Daemon's mother, the late Princess Alyssa Targaryen. A tribute to the Targaryen family.
Many were shocked by the news that Lady Feyre was expecting. To be completely honest, many didn't expect that Daemon and Feyre would have anymore children. King Viserys was overjoyed with the news of his new niece.
The King, Alicent, their children, and Otto were all waiting outside for the guests of honor to arrive. Tension filled the air, as this was the first time that Alicent would face Feyre since the incident in Driftmark.
Alicent felt completely horrible about everything, and it hurt her relationship with her eldest children. Aegon hasn't spoken a full sentence to her in years and Helaena flinched away from her touch. Aemond was her saving grace; her perfect boy. Perhaps Feyre's love for Aemond will sway her to forgive Alicent.
The wheelhouses came into view, making Alicent tense. They stopped right in front of the castle entrance and the footmen opened the doors.
Laenor stepped out of the first wheelhouse, and held his hand out for Rhaenyra. The Princess stepped down the small stairs, holding a three-year-old Joffrey in her arms. Jace and Luke came out after their mother
Baela and Rhaena came out of the second one, looking around King's Landing in nervous curiosity. This was the first time that they've visited the capitol, so they did not know what to expect. They felt a hand on their shoulders and turned to see Aemma smiling at them.
"Are you alright?" Aemma asked her sisters, taking note of their hesitation.
"It's...bigger than I expected," Baela whispered.
"I thought that the Red Keep was actually red," Rhaena looked at the castle, "I'm disappointed."
Aemma laughed, "Let's go, you two."
They stood next the boys and Aemma smiled at Aegon and Helaena, who visibly brightened when they saw her.
Alicent held her breath as she saw Feyre step out of the wheelhouse. The woman was glowing; she was happy. It was as if the last ten years had been washed away and left behind this beautiful, smiling woman. Alicent was happy for her; Feyre deserved that.
Feyre looked back at Daemon, who was carrying a small bundle as he descended down the stairs. The Prince looked down at his daughter in complete awe and love.
"Welcome, daughter!" Viserys placed a kiss on his daughter's forehead, "You look well."
Rhaenyra smiles, "Thank you, Father."
Viserys smiled, but everyone could tell that it brought on much pain, "Brother, Lady Feyre. Congratulations on your new bundle of joy."
Daemon looked up at Viserys, "Thank you, Brother."
"Yes, we thank you for all of this, Your Grace," Feyre beamed as she looked around her old home, "You've truly gone all out for us."
Viserys shook his head, "Nonsense! Only the best for my family!"
He glanced down at the bundle, "Might I?"
Daemon brought Alyssa forward so that Viserys could look at her. Feyre stood by them protectively, not seeing a threat but not wanting to risk anything, especially with Otto being near.
Alyssa had inherited Targaryen hair; it laid in small curls on her head. Her eyes though were all Feyre. She was the perfect mix of her parents.
"She's beautiful," Viserys whispered, "May I hold her?"
