"D-dad" I asked timidly. He grunted in response. "I-I was uh supposed to tell you I've been suspended again." I said in a rush. His bloodshot eyes looked up at me. "Get the fuck out!" He didn't even yell that part, that's the scary thing.
As I scurried out of the house I heard him yelling swear words and throwing things. Then I went to the cafe. "Hey Larry I'm here to work before my shift." Larry, my boss looked up surprised. "Ah your earlier then usual! Well I cant say I'm complaining! I guess we can arrange something."
Midnight~
I'm waking home alone. I scruff my shoes on the sidewalk. When I finally get to my front door I see that my dad has left the house.
He's probably at another club, using my money! I angrily unlocked the door and went inside. When I got to my room I slammed the door and put my money with all the money I have saved. Then I went online to look for a school.
"No! No! No!" I clicked on schools but they all looked so expensive. "Ah finally!" I enrolled in a school that was two blocks away from my house. Then I closed my laptop and curled up in my bed.
How have I already been kicked out of five schools in one year?!
With that question on my mind I managed to drift asleep, not even bothering to change my clothes. There were no clothes to change into.
Three in the morning~
A bang woke me up. Oh shit my dad! I rushed downstairs and saw he was holding a kitchen knife and a bottle of wine.
"I'm going to be sick!" He mumbled. I brought him the bucket as he threw up. "What are you doing here?! You little!" I covered my ears and ran upstairs to the bathroom.
"Why is my life so horrible!" I asked to nobody in particular. My reflection stared back at me. I took a knife and made a cut in my arm. "A cut a day drives the pain away!" I mumbled in the mirror, a crazed smile on my face.
Just then my computer buzzed. The headmaster had enrolled me and I was to start school tomorrow. I sighed and climbed into bed, not even bothering to ask why the hell he was up at this time.
My whole life basically sucks! I thought over and over in my head. Just then I got a text from Larry.
Larry: can you start doing more night shifts?
Luna: why?
Larry: because somebody said you'd attract more people.
Luna: that's sick! I'm not doing nightshifts!
Larry: you don't need to work in the day
Luna: oh alright you've won this one! But believe me I'm not flirting with anybody!
Larry: I new I could count on you kiddo! Thanks! Bye I need to go!
Luna: wait hang on a sec I want a raise!
Larry: fine whatever!
And then we stopped texting. I plugged my phone in a fell asleep on my bed. Thinking about those horrible night shifts and what my father was going to do when he found out about my new school. Jeez life is scary.
