I came at the exact time in the parking lot. China and lots of people were there...only not twenty. I walked to China and said "twenty? Where are the others?" She sighed. "Three got sick. Two got caught...I hope they don't rat us out. And one backed out. Basically were gonna be sixteen instead."
The van was green and it was big! Big enough for lots of people. China and a boy I knew from the grade, Tomas, sat upfront. I watched as people got on the van one by one...
I heard a scream.
Teachers were coming towards us yelling. I could hear China swearing from inside the van. Tomas started it up and I jumped inside just as the doors closed. Two people left outside were banging on the van, begging us to come in. China only drove off. Nw we were fourteen...no one looked back.
Turns out Tomas wasn't from this school. He had a house in Texas and we would all be cosy and nice...but he needed money to keep us all alive and well...so he said we needed to get fake ID'S and then get a job. I explained that no one would hire teens and he grinned and said some jobs were special.
I know a couple of people in the van.
China
Tomas
Micheal
Yasmine
Drew
Cole
Tina
JaneThey are nice and all of them are messed up in some weird way. I know Micheal China and Tomas the best though.
The bus finally had stopped at an old house in the country. It was big enough for us all to fit. We all pies inside the garage as Tomas gave us rules.
"Okay. First off I'm getting half of you fake ID'S tomorrow. Secondly China will be driving one of you off tomorrow. I'm going to call the names of the people getting a new ID. Yasmine. Drew. Cole..." and off he went sitting more names...but never mine.
China stepped up and said "I'm driving Tina out tomorrow." Everyone nodded but no one complained.

I went into the living room where people were laying around, trying to sleep. I sat next to the TV on a cloth. The people who got to sleep upstairs were the people getting new ID'S or leaving. I was sleeping next to Jane and Micheal. The floor was comfortable and I found myself nodding off to sleep quicker than usual.
