Chapter nine: Gossip (2)

Losing my best friend and my crush made me feel super sad and because of crying and blaming myself for everything, I got sick. I didn't go to college for two weeks and one thing that surprised me what my "best friend" didn't check on me like she usually does.

Laying on my bed, my mom knocked on my door

Ava: Not now mom

Mom: Please sweetheart I'm worried about you

Ava: Don't be. I'll go to college when I want to

Mom: That's not what I'm worried about, I mean you need to stop crying and blaming yourself. You can't keep blaming yourself, I've spoken to your principal about it and she said she'll see what she can do. Please just come out and maybe eat something or yeah you can go to the farm. Don't you love going to the farm?

Ava: I do. I'll come out in thirty minutes. Thanks mom

Mom: Anything for you sweetheart

I didn't want to come out of my room, I just wanted to stay there and cry out my eyes for ruining things between me and my best friend but I have to listen to my mom.

I got up from the bed, took a shower and got dressed and went downstairs to eat.

Mom: I'm soo glad you listened to me

Ava: Thanks mom. Also how did the photo shoot go?

Mom: Very good actually, met fellow models and maybe a new friend

Ava: Good for you mom so who is the new friend

Mom: Betty, she also has a son your age. Maybe you both would end up dating

Ava: Seriously mom?

Emma: So mom tell me, does she has any son my age or a daughter I can be best friends with?

Mom: She does has a daughter but not your age

Emma: Shucks

Ava: I just hope you wouldn't tell the woman or her son about me

Mom: I already did. Also if things goes well between the woman and I then I can invite them over for dinner

Ava: I won't be in that dinner

Mom: Oh you will. You're resuming college Tomorrow

Ava: I'm not ready mom

Mom: Didn't ask

Oliver: Burns

Ava: I don't have your time at all (I left to my room)

I'm resuming tomorrow? Great right? I didn't want to go because what's the point? People are going to continue judging me and hating on me also I don't have my best friend anymore so what's the point?

The next morning I woke up earlier than I expected, took my baths and waited then it was time, I took a deep breath and left the house.

I got to college and I could feel eyes around me, I could hear people whispering, I don't know what exactly they were saying but I felt like they were talking about me. I saw my best friend well ex best friend and I wave to her but she turned around and pretended like she didn't see me, I was sad. Suddenly the principal called me to her office.

I knocked and waited

Principal: Come in

Ava: Morning Ma'am, you called me

Principal: Yes I did. How are you feeling?

Ava: Good

Principal: You don't look good, you know you don't have to lie to me

Ava: I'm good

Principal: If you say so. Well the reason I called you here is to tell you I figured out who did everything that is happening with you

Ava: I don't really want to talk about that anymore not to be rude. I've lost everything so what the point of knowing who did it?

Principal: It was Josh, the past weeks you weren't in college I heard him actually while watching on the cameras talking with his friends about doing anything to have you, I have spoken to him and he opened up to me

Ava: I'm glad he opened up to you also thank you for trying

Principal: That's one of the reason I'm here

I smiled

Principal: Be sure to come back here on your break, I also spoke to Josh about apologising to you

Ava: Thank you ma'am

Principal: You're welcome. You can go now

I left the office to my class, I looked on my sit to avoid sitting on any whoopee but surprisingly there wasn't any whoopee. The teacher was teaching about what it's like to be a zoologist.

Teacher: Working as a zoologist you could be based indoors in a lab, outdoors in the field, or even in remote overseas locations. You'll study species and populations of animals and work with animals out in in the field, in captivity or in a laboratory. As a zoologist, you can specialise in a particular area. Although there are major difficulties, it's fun

Random student: How?

Teacher: Because it's wild, you get to do crazy stuff and learn about animals including the extinct ones

Random student: It's fun I guess

Ava: Excuse me sir, can I go to the toilet?

Teacher: Not now Ava, you will have your break in 15 minutes so you gotta wait. Anyways class, be in pairs, we're going to do a group practice which can also be your assignment if it isn't done on time.

After doing the practices, it was break, I didn't want to use the toilet again because I saw josh and I stopped him.

Ava: Hey Josh

Josh: Sup baby girl

Ava: Ugh soo annoying. Anyways I know what you did and if i were you I'd stop

Josh: What are you talking about?

Ava: Don't say I didn't warn you

Josh: Seriously what are you talking about?

Ava: I know you spread the rumours, I know you lied about me playing with josh feelings. How did you even know that I liked him?

Josh: I've seen the way you look at him and also it was pretty obvious that you like him

Ava: Just stay out of this and tell people it's a lie because you know I wouldn't go for you, I don't like you Josh

Josh: I'll make you like me, forget Josh, he just a fat ass

Ava: What did you just say?

I wouldn't let him say anything about Joe that way especially him body shaming Joe so I slapped him

Josh: That hurt, why did you do that?

Ava: I'll do it again if you say trashy things about Joe

Josh left to meet his friends, I didn't like the idea of hitting people but I also don't like the idea of him insulting people especially people I love.
