**The next day...**

You wake up, dead tired and with feet still aching from the night before, to the infuriatingly sweet jingle of Liz's alarm clock.

Yesterday's night had been cut short just minutes before the Park family was about to make their big announcements....about business expansions, international deals and whatever else important stuff they were planning. But you didn't get to hear a word of it. Because, right before the talks with the microphones started, disaster struck: some intoxicated man spilled an entire glass of champagne and half a slice of strawberry cake all over you in front of everyone.

That sticky mess forced you and Liz to leave the event early and now, here you were, waking up to the worst kind of alarm clock.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH... I hate your alarm clock, LIZ!" you yell, loud enough to wake half the neighborhood. Liz bolts upright, looking like she just survived a hurricane.

"What the hell?" she mumbles, still half-asleep.

You sit up, already frazzled. "Perfect timing, right? I've got one hour to get my brother home, make breakfast, drop him at school, pack my lunch and catch the bus to work. Totally doable? Nope. Impossible!"

Liz's smile fades, replaced by a sharp edge of frustration. She runs a hand through her hair and lets out a long sigh. "Seriously, this whole thing was a disaster from the start. I swear, if that guy hadn't ruined the night, maybe things would've gone smoother. But nope....chaos all around."

She glances at you, clearly as fed up as you are. "You don't deserve this. Neither do I."

Then, with a quick shake of her head, she pushes you gently toward the bathroom. "Go shower. I'll take care of what I can here. Ten minutes downstairs, yeah?"

You groan but don't argue. It's clear she's just as frustrated by the mess of last night...and the chaos this morning is just the cherry on top.

Liz's mansion was at least a half-hour away from your house by public transport...which made your to-do list feel like climbing Everest barefoot. You flop back onto the bed, groaning, overwhelmed.

Liz stretches and smirks. "Don't stress, babe. We can manage everything."

You glare at her. "Liz.......you don't get it! I still have to get my brother to school and get to work. I'm never gonna make it on time!"

She waves you toward the bathroom. "Relax. Go freshen up and shower. I'll take the other bathroom and as I said already meet me downstairs in ten."

Before you can protest, she's already nudging you toward the door with the determination of someone who's dealt with worse morning meltdowns.

 **A shower later..**

"Hello, sis," your brother Adam greets you cheerfully, spooning cereal into his mouth as you join him at the table.

"Good morning, my baby," you reply, running your fingers through his soft hair.

"Did you behave last night?" you ask playfully.

"He was perfect, a very obedient boy," one of the housemaids chimes in, serving you breakfast with a warm smile.

"Thank you so much for taking care of him," you say gratefully as you sit down to eat.
