Jimin smiles, though it's faint. "Of course. Flowers have this incredible power. They seem so innocent, peaceful even, but they can carry the deepest messages."
Namjoon pats him lightly on the shoulder, testing him. "You sound like a pro. What do red tulips or fresh amaryllis mean, for example?"
Jimin's face tightens, worry flickering in his eyes. Tae immediately senses the tension going even higher, seeing the anxiety clouding his friend's gaze. He steps in once again.
"Guys, how about we order something else? Or better yet, why don't we change places? A new vibe might do us good." *I'll ask Jimin later what's going on with this idiot Namjoon.*
"Yes! I'm down for that," Jimin perks up, eyes brightening, eager to escape the awkwardness. "I love that place with the belly dancers."
"Oh yeah!" Tae grins. "Remember when they asked me to dance with them last time?"Jimin bursts out laughing, the tension evaporating. "You were hilarious, man." He pats Tae's shoulder. *Thank you. You're saving me right now.*
Namjoon realizes there's no point in trying to steer the conversation back. He exhales in frustration as the three of them rise to pay and leave the bar.
After putting your brother to bed, you stood next to Jin, listening to his stories as he happily washed the dishes. He insisted on doing them as a way to 'repay' your hospitality. Then, the inevitable happened.
"Oh no! Let me grab the first-aid kit." You opened the cabinet. Jin had cut his hand while cleaning a knife.
You gently guided him to sit, keeping calm as you dried, cleaned, and bandaged the small cut on his finger.
Jin smiled at you, his gaze intense, thanking you sincerely. The closeness between your bodies was affecting him in a strange way, making him want to gently brush your face with his uninjured hand and even kiss those tempting lips. He struggled to keep his composure. When you finished, you looked up and found his eyes staring directly into yours. Your heart raced. Jin was undeniably handsome, and it wasn't every day you had a man like him sitting so close.
He smiled and leaned in, planting a light peak on your forehead. "You're really an angel. Thank you again."
You blushed, caught off guard by the gesture. Quickly, you stood up, closed the first-aid kit, and hurried to put it away. Jin chuckled to himself, clearly amused by your shy, sweet, and slightly childish behavior. Jin smirked, thinking, Maybe I stand a chance after all.
"Y/N, can I ask you something?"
You turned back to him, still flustered. "Sure, go ahead."
The three 'friends' walked to another bar. Namjoon wasn't paying this time; he had already covered the previous round, including Tae's drinks, despite their tension.
"What can I get you, beautiful people?" asked the waitress with a slightly flirty tone.
"I haven't decided yet. What about you guys?" Jimin asked while browsing the menu full of boujee drinks.
