Chapter 10

Shigeo is in conflict with himself, he's not even sure if this was a dream or not, or if someone alternated his reality, but surely, it's making him confused.

He likes Tsubomi, and he even plans on confessing to her soon, just as long as he got the confidence that he needed, he wouldn't hesitate to talk to her and confess.

And the other, is about (Y/n), his best friend. He somehow can't stand it and would always feel a tug on his heart whenever he sees her with Kagaya-san(Mizuki). Ever since he learned about the rumor of her dating Mizuki, it somehow ticks him off. He doesn't like it.

And that's why he's conflicted and confused.

He likes Tsubomi with great admiration, but what about (Y/n)?

Shigeo groaned as he buried his face in his arms as he rest on his study table. He's trying to do his math homework, but he finds the difficulties to focus. He was spacing off in math class earlier, so he doesn't know how to do some of the given problems in his homework.

But then, he remembered what (Y/n) had said to him not too long ago. If he ever needs help with math, she can always help him.

Though, it's already late. But, (Y/n) is just on the same neighborhood and the deadline for this homework is tomorrow at Homeroom, so there's no time for him to ask her too.

Shigeo sigh as he grabbed his phone as opened it and quickly look for (Y/n)'s contact. Seeing it, he hesitate to click the call button.

Should he call her straight away? It's not like this is the first time Shigeo called her, ever since the confession incident, he lessened his contact of calling to her. So, this seemed to be a bit awkward for Shigeo.

Although, seeing that (Y/n) doesn't seemed to be affected by it, Shigeo shook the thought.

He run his hand through his soft black locks and clicked call.

And without any seconds of waiting, it was immediately answered.

"Hello? Shigeo?"

She answered. Not that he expected her not to answer, still Shigeo was relief that she's still awake for some reason.

"Hello, (Y/n)-san," He paused, hesitating to say that he needed help with his math homework.

"Hi! What made you call this late, Shige?"

She asked.

Shigeo took a deep breath and replied to her words, "I-I need help...with uhm, Math— Homework! Math Homework," He said, mentally sulking for stuttering with his words.

His cheeks were a bit tinted with red. He doesn't why he suddenly felt shy and awkward about asking his best friend to help him with his homework. It's not like this is the first time he's ever done so. Okay, maybe for a really long time.
