It was the middle of the night and Nicky shot up and ran to the bathroom, this woke Shane up, he got up to and went to the bathroom door as Nicky had locked it.
"Honey, are you okay?" Shane asked
"I'm fine, go back to bed" Nicky said
"I'm not going back to bed, let me in...now" Shane said, before Nicky could let him in he heard a thump! He broke the door down and found Nicky on the floor.
"Baby, can you hear me?" Shane said, Nicky didnt respond, Shane put him in the recovery positon and came to my door.
I opened the door and yawend, it took me a while to see who it was.
"Shane, whats wrong" I asked yawing.
"Its Nicky, he...um......fainted and hes not responding.....I need you" Shane said, I went to Shane's and Nicky's room.
Ryan then came, he was still half asleep.
"Go back to bed, honey" I said
"I'm fine, I want to be here, I have the baby moniter so if they wake up, I'll go" Ryan said
"Ryan, can you call an ambulance please like now" I said
Ryan called an ambulance, within minuites the ambulace arrived, they took Nicky to hospital.
"Look, I'll stay here with the kids, you should be with Shane and Nicky" Ryan said
"Thank you, I will call you as soon as I know anything, I love you" I said and gave Ryan a kiss and left with Shane.
They arrived at the hospital. Shane was really nervous.
"I cant lose him" Shane said
"You wont, he probally has an infection and they will sort it out" I said
"Okay" Shane said
Moments had passed and over came a Doctor.
"Hello, I'm Doctor Mike" he said
"Hello, I'm Shane...Nicky's husband, is he okay?" Shane asked
"He has an infection due to the chemo but he is on a drip and he will improve, we will keep him in for a few days just to keep an eye on the infection but he will be okay" Doctor Mike said
"Thank you so much, can we go and see him?" Shane asked
"Of course" Doctor Mike said
Shane and me went in and Nicky was awake, Shane ran over to Nicky and gave him a hug.
"You scared me....I thought you were going to die" Shane said
"Honey, I'm fine, like Doctor Mike said its just an infection and nothing to worry about, they will sort it out, you know for the first time in my life....I finally started to feel more like my self....I felt happier and now I have this stupid infection" Nicky said
"Look, you are in the best place" Shane said
"I know but I want to be at home with you" Nicky said
"I know you do but they have everything you need to get you better" Shane said
"Can you bring JJ along later?" Nicky asked
"I'll ring my parents and let them know what is happening" Shane said
Ryan stayed at home with Issac and Hunter.
It was the next morning, Nicky woke up to find Shane wasnt there, he statrted to panic.
Shane then walked back in with cups of tea.
