Telling Friends

It was Nicky's first chemotherapy session, needless to say that he was so nervous but he had Shane coming with him and that made him feel better. Me and Danny were looking after JJ for them. 

We were all in the living room, Nicky kept on looking at the clock. Nicky couldn't hear that we were talking to him. 

"Nico?" Danny said 

"What?" Nicky said 

"It's time to go" Shane said 

"Okay" Nicky said 

Shane and Nicky left, Shane was holding Nicky's hand to the car. 

"Honey, it will be okay" Shane said 

"I know, I'm just nervous" Nicky said 

"I know but I will be with you" Shane said as he gave Nick's hand a kiss. 

They got into the car and drove to the hospital. 

"Love" Shane said 

"Yes Sweetie" Nicky said 

"We still need to tell Mark and Kian....about your cancer diagnosis" Shane said 

"I know and we will later on today when we tell Louis" Nicky said 

"How about your parents?" Shane said 

"Soon, I will call them up and ask to meet them for lunch and tell them then" Nicky said 

"Okay" Shane said, they drove for another 45 minutes and they finally arrived. 

They got out of the car and walked hand in hand, they walked up to reception and got booked in. 

They walked down to the chemotherapy ward and sat down, all Nicky could hear was the ticking of the clock on the wall. Shane had hold of Nicky's hand. 

"Honey?" Shane said 

"Yes" Nicky said 

"We need to go" Shane said 

Shane and Nicky walked into the office and sat down, in walked the nurse that will be helping Nicky through all of his treatment. 

"Hello I'm Nurse Walker and I will be helping you through your treatment" Nurse Walker said 

"Nice to meet you" Nicky said 

"Who have you brought with you?" Nurse Walker said 

"My husband" Nicky said 

"Nice to meet you and does your husband have a name?" Nurse Walker asked 

"Shane" Shane said 

"Okay before we start we are just going to through a few tests, its just a short physical exam to test your blood pressure, pulse, breathing and temperature, also we will need to have your height and weight measured to make sure we give you the right doses of chemotherapy" Nurse Walker said 

"Okay" Nicky said.   

"So, will Nicky be having his first round of chemo today as our doctor said its his first round of chemo today" Shane asked 

Nurse Walker looked at Nicky's notes. 

"Ahh right, yes he will be starting his first round of chemo today, I will put a rush on everything and get it started, you will be meeting also be meeting your oncologist today" Nurse Walker said 

Nurse Walker placed an IV tube into Nicky's arm and took a blood sample, Nurse Walker left to put a rush on the tests so Nicky could start his first round of chemo.
