Catch My Breath

Wedding Day

A few months had now past and it was Shane and Nicky's wedding day and they were both nervous. 

Shane was waiting Nicky, I looked over at him and smiled. 

Nicky began to walk down the aisle and Shane was in awe of how amazing Nicky looked, Nicky arrived and stood next to Shane took his hand and the ceremony began.    

"We are here today to join Nicky Bernard James Adam Byrne and Shane Steven Filan in holy matrimony, if anyone has a reason why these should not be wed please speak now or forever hold your piece" 

No one spoke. 

Shane was the first one to say his vows, Shane took Nicky's hand in to his and took a breath and started to speak. 

"Nicky,  Nicky you are everything to me and I never want to lose you. When we first met I knew I loved you. Normally I am very good with saying how I feel about this man but the truth is Nicky knows how much I love him, I tell him everyday. You are the first person I want to see in the morning and the last at night. Not just for this moment, not for an hour, or a day or a year-I will always love you" Shane said, Nicky wiped the tear away from his eye. 

"I love you Shane, I never thought I would be here getting married to my best friend. This man right here, is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, he has taught me so much about myself. Shane, you are the one that makes me laugh. I will always love you Shane" Nicky said 

They exchanged rings. They looked so happy, I was happy for them, they were truly the perfect pair. 

"I now pronounce you Mr and Mr Filan" Shane and Nicky kissed, they were finally married. 

It was time for us all to go to the reception. We all found our seats. 

"Please be up standing for Mr and Mr Filan" I said, everyone cheered and Shane and Nicky walked in and sat down. 

"So, how does it feel to be married?" I asked 

"Amazing!" Shane said 

"What Shane said....amazing" Nicky said 

"You okay?" Nicky asked me

"I guess, I suppose I'm just nervous" I said 

"About what?" Shane asked 

"I got a letter in the post about the going to court" I said 

"I'm sorry we can't be there to support you" Shane said 

"It's okay, I'll have Ryan" I said 

"How are things with you and him?" Shane asked 

"He's been amazing" I said 

Ryan was talking to Kyle and Oliver. 

"Right, I think its time for the speeches" I said 

Everyone sat down and the speeches began. 

Shane was first to go, he looked at his husband and smiled. 

"I want to thank everyone for coming, Nicky you know how much I love you, you are everything to me, when we first met, I knew it was love at first sight, well it was for me anyway. I was so afraid to tell you how I really felt in case you didn't feel the same way but you did. Like I said in my vows, you are the first person I want to see in the morning and the last at night. Not just for this moment, not for an hour, or a day or a year-I will always love you, I truly mean it. 

Sophie, what can I say other than thank you, thank you for pushing me and Nicky together. You were the only person, well apart from the guys that have always believed in us. You are like a sister to me, I will never let anything bad happen to you and I mean that" Shane said, Shane sat down and Nicky kissed his husband.
