Announcement of Proposal

It was the next morning and Shane and Nicky had already left for the recording studio. 

"How are we going to break the news to everyone?" Nicky asked 

"Just go in there and tell them?" Shane said 

"I mean...the public?" Nicky said 

"I suppose when we next to an interview to tell people then?" Shane said 

"I'm just nervous about telling my parents," Nicky said 

"I thought they were okay with us?" Shane said 

"They are but I'm not sure that they will be okay with us getting married," Nicky said 

"How about this, after we have had our session in the studio, we are going to go to your parents and tell them and then we shall go and tell my parents," Shane said 

"Thank you," Nicky said and kissed Shane. 

They arrived in the studio and everyone was wondering why Nicky and Shane were so happy. 

"Why are you guys so happy?" Kian asked 

"Well it was our anniversary yesterday," Shane said 

"Congratulations," Mark said 

"Anyway, Nicky wrote me a song...it's amazing it has to go on our new album," Shane said 

"Just get on with why you are so happy!" Kian said 

"Shane and I are engaged!" Nicky said 

"Congratulations!" Mark said and gave Nicky and Shane a hug as did Kian and everyone else. 

Nicky then sang the song he wrote for Shane and everyone loved it. 

"What's it called?" Kian asked 

"Catch My Breath," Nicky said 

"It's going on the album!" Louis said 

Hours had past and it was time for Nicky to tell his parents. 

They arrived at Nicky's parent's house, Nicky looked at Shane and smiled at him. 

"Mum, Dad," Nicky said, Nicky still had held of Shane's hand. 

Nicky found them in the living room. 

"Mum, Dad...This is Shane" Nicky said 

"Nice to meet you" Rosie and Nicky Sr said together. 

Nicky sat down with Shane, Nicky was getting more and more nervous, Shane gave Nicky's hand a squeeze. 

"Mum, Dad...Shane and I are getting married" Nicky said 

"You're what?" Nicky Sr said 

"We are getting married," Nicky said 

"Nope...not happening," Rosie said 

"Mum...Dad...I love Shane so much and this is happening" Nicky said 

"You need to get out now!" Nicky Sr said to Shane 

"Shane isn't going anywhere...he's staying," Nicky said 

"You're not marrying him," Rosie said 

"So, you can accept me for being gay but you won't allow me and Shay to get married?" Nicky said 

"We don't even accept you being gay," Rosie said 

"But you said on the phone you didn't care...what's changed?" Nicky asked
