Catch My Breath

Court

Note to readers, I'm not sure what happens in a court room so this is my take on what happens. 

It was time for me to face Harry in court, I was so nervous, I didn't know what to expect or what was going to happen, I know that Harry's lawyer will try and put the blame on me. 

We all left for court, Ryan took my hand and smiled, as soon as Ryan held my hand, I started to settle. 

We arrived at court and outside was my lawyer waiting for me. 

"You all ready?" James asked 

"Nervous but ready" I said 

"All you've got to do is tell the jury what that man did to you, we have evidence of the abuse" James said 

"Okay" I said, Kyle knew something was wrong, he looked over at James and pulled him to one side. 

"I don't think she will be able to do this?" Kyle said 

"She has to, its going to be hard but she needs to if she wants to get him sent down" James said 

"Can I have a word before we go in?" Kyle asked 

"Yeah" James said, they walked back over to us. 

"Shall we go?" James said

"Sophie, can I have a word with you?" Kyle asked me 

"Sure" I said, I gave Ryan a kiss, Ryan left with everyone and waited for us. 

"Look, I can tell when something is wrong with you, so what is it?" Kyle asked 

"I don't think I can do it?" I said 

"You have to, if you want to get him sent down then you have to do this" Kyle said 

"I know but....Shane and Nicky aren't here, they are important to the case" I said 

"We are and that's why we are here" Shane said 

I looked over and ran over to them and hugged them. 

Nicky wiped the tear from my eye and looked at me. 

"Right, shall we go and do this?" Shane said

"Yes" I said, we all walked in and caught up with everyone. 

"Shane, Nicky....what are you doing here? aren't you suppose to be on your honeymoon?" Ryan asked as he hugged the pair. 

"Charming and we were but we had to be here for Sophie, to give stand up in court and tell everyone what a nasty piece of work that man is!" Shane said, Nicky looked at his husband and smiled. 

Harry walked by, he walked up to me and grabbed my arm. 

"Good luck, I will see you later" Harry whispered. 

"Get your hands off my client" James said 

Harry let go and smiled as the police took him into the court room.

"You okay?" Oliver asked me 

"Fine" I said, we entered the room and it began.

I was first to the stand, I had to take an oath. 

"I swear that the evidence that I shall give, shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God" I said 

Harry's lawyer began to ask me all these questions, which I answered. 

"This man, the man I thought loved me attacked me all through out our relationship, he sexually assaulted me, verbally abused me and psychically abused me" I said
