Jay woke up as all the other ninja slept, they were on the destiny's bounty and tracking the serpentine and Pythor. Just the day before he had unlocked his true potential and went on a date with Nya... If you could even call it a date.

He groaned walking to the bathroom and looking at himself in the mirror in the dim light of the fading bathroom bulb, his gaze fell to his cheeks where his freckles rested. When he and Wu first met Wu had mentioned something about how he looked like his mother, Edna had freckles? Apparently so.

But freckles are something Jay hated about himself, he went to the shelf labed 'Jay's stuff' all in a basket. Each of the ninja had their own basket and none of them were allowed to look in the others. He got out his 'mens makeup' and applied it to his face, or he was about to, he heard rustling from the deck but everyone was asleep.

The blue ninja rushed up to the deck of the bounty only to see Kai's sister looking out across the sky and town they crossed. She turned her head to Jay while strands of her hair blew into her face with the moonlight reflected on her orange like eyes, something she held in common with her brother unlike hair color, while Kais hair was a brown color hers was like a raven's which lit up when there was little light.

Jay thought she was beautiful.

"Jay? What're you doing up?" He walked over to her taking a place next to her. "I could ask you the same thing." She looked at him for longer then she ment to before noticing.

"You have freckles." She blurted out causing him to  blush before looking away back at the town they flew past. "U-uh yeah i guess I do hah-ha..." The ship rocked slightly causing the two of them to fall closer and Nya placed her hands on Jay before looking back at his face. "You look nice with them..."

'So this is deja vu'
Jay thought to himself as Nya and him once again stood upon the bounty while everyone else slept, it had been a while since it was just the two of them especially since the Nadakan incident that they only seemed to remember.

It had only been a week since then but Jay still had nightmares about it, which led the two of them to this spot on the bounty. "Jay?" He hummed in response showing he was listening. "Why do you hide your freckles?"

Before, the first time on the bounty, Jay would've had a diffrent answer. But now? Now the answer was a lot more then just being embarrassed.

"W-when I made my wish with Nada... Nadakan I found I was adopted... When I first met Wu he said I looked like my mum because of my freckles. That mum being the one who abandoned me in a junk yard. I-i guess I just don't wanna be reminded of her."

Jay looked over to Nya to see her give him a sympathetic look, she looked down at their conjoined hands before hugging him. He buried his face into her shoulder as she held him tightly before letting out a whisper.

"For what it's worth... I think you look cute with your freckles. And a mum who abandoned you can't change that..."

Jay smiled that night a blush gracing his cheeks. "Thanks Nya."
