ℕ𝕚𝕟𝕛𝕒𝕘𝕠 𝕆𝕟𝕖𝕊𝕙𝕠𝕥𝕤 ~ 𝕆𝕠𝕗𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟚

Skylor sighed to herself looking over across her empty restaurant, finally it was closing time. As began to count up the money in the cash register flicking through the noted and counting the coins, she checked the amount people had paid in cash and satisfied with the results she went over to the restaurant door.

As she went to turn the sign she saw the red ninja standing at the door about to knock. The two of them stood blinking at each other for a moment before Skylor welcomed him into the shop, closing and locking the door behind her.

Kai and her walked over to a booth before she realised what he was here for, after all they hadn't see one another since Nya's funeral. "Kai? Are you alright?" She asked treading lightly knowing about his temper, her eyes darted to where his hand was resting on the table and she placed her hand on his.

"Skylor- I know you must think I'm being stupid right now or I might be crossing some boundaries but... Do you mind if I stay at your place for a while?" The master of amber blinked at his words. Him and her living together?

"Why? I mean you can happily stay here but is there a specific reason?" He looked down bitting his lip a bit before his orange eyes looked into her green ones. "I mean I guess... The other guys and I haven't been the same since Nya left and I just. I needed to get out the monesatary."

She nodded to that and realised this whole time she had been using her thumb to caress Kai's hand. "I understand Kai, it was a similar thing for me after the battle with my father. If you want I'm always free to talk or rant about stuff." Kai smiled thanking her.

"You should probably go tell your friends though... Maybe get some clothes and stuff to live here? I don't mind how long you stay I'll be honest." After Skylor's words the two of them travelled to the monesatary.

On the ride there amoung the back of Kais elemental dragon Skylor had a question in the back of her mind. Why did she have to be there at the monesatary to help him move into her place?

Allowing Skylor to get off the dragon first, Kai jumping after her with the dragon disappearing when he lost contact with it, the two of them entered the monesatary met with Cole and Zane talking in the kitchen which was close to where the entrance of the monesatary was.

"Kai and Skylor?" Zane asked, he had been affected by Nyas death true, but the nindroid decided to switch off his emotions switch meaning he felt nothing. "Hey Zane! Mind calling everyone else I gotta talk to you guys."

Zane nodded going to other parts of the house while Cole began to smirk at Kai and Skylor. The master of fire and amber both gave Cole questioning looks before finally Skylor asked. "Cole, what's with the... Smirking?"

The black haired man simply shrugged his shoulders. "Nothin, but if this is what I think it's about then Jay and Lloyd owe me some cake."

Before they could ask anything else the master of ice returned with said Lloyd and Jay behind him. They sat on the kitchen stools looking at Skylor and Kai. "So, for a certain period I will be moving out."

Looks of shock and confusion rung on everyone but Zanes faces. "You and Skylor are actually dating?" Cole, surprisingly, was the first one to speak up and ask.

The questioned couple became as red as Kais gi. "What? No! No!" Kais first response was, "Well not yet at least." Was Skylors answer.

The two exchanged a look before Kai returned back to his friends. "Uh No- I just wanna spend some time in a new space yknow because I just lost my sister and I'm still mourning." Lloyd now spoke up for the first time during this conversation. "Kai we're all grieving for Nya, of course we are, but if you think that spending some time from the monesatary will help you then we're all fine with your choice."

Kai smiled at his younger brother. "Thanks, kid." He then turned to look at all of them. "All right I'm gonna go pack."

After gathering all his stuff and moving out Kai and Skylor moved all his stuff into her home. It was quiet a nice home all things considered like being the apartment above a noodle factory.

Built like any old apartment it had two floors the first consisting of a large kitchen area next to a living room/dining room and a small cupboard under the stairs to the second floor. That floor consisted of a bathroom, studying room, master bedroom and guest bedroom.

Kai slept in the guest bedroom moving all his stuff from his old room in there while Skylor slept in the master bedroom.

....

Atleast for the first couple of months that's how it went at least.

< 5 months later >

It had been 5 months since Nya's funeral.
It had been 5 months since Kai moved in with Skylor.
It had been 5 months since rumors about the infamous red ninja and daughter of the past Master Chen were dating.
It had been 2 months since those rumors became true.

The couple currently stood cooking food together waiting for the chicken to be fully cooked, while Skylor was busy chopping up vegetables she felt too arms hug her from behind, she was familiar with the touch.

"Kai sorry to tell you but hugging me right now isn't gonna get me to cut these veggies cutt faster." The red ninja scoffed at that causing her to frown. "Kai. What did you do?"

The red ninja gasped at her accusations. "Nothing!" The master of amber put down the knife out of risk of accidently cutting her boyfriend before turning around to face him. In the corner of her eye she could see the potatoes... Burnt.

"Kai what the hell did you do?" The ninja shrugged mumbling a "I don't know" and went to get a glass of water. His now grumbling girlfriend went over to the potatoes and began to try and search for one that wasn't completely black and burnt.

Kai turned on the tap letting the water run into his glass before he froze. He could've sworn the water just said something. Turning around he asked Skylor if she also wanted some water to which she responded yes.

He got another glass and turned the tap back on. "Kai"

OK, the water definitely just spoke to him.
