A knife plunged through his chest as he coughed up blood, it was a miracle that he still had any blood left in him seeing how much had already been smeered across the wall. Maybe before he would've cried by now, screamed in pain or reacted in some sort of way.

He simply stayed limp against the wall his body barley rested upon, he had already given up hope that his friends would come rescue him after all they were trapped on that island with probably no way off. After Nadakan was done with his amusement for the day he was probably gonna go fetch Nya.

Jay looked up his eyes so tired that he could barley do that! He saw the grin plastered on the deranged gjins face that disgusting grin he always had on when he saw Nya or was touring Jay. The blue ninja, so lost in his own thoughts, didn't realise Nadakan was gone and Clancey was there treating his wounds.

It didn't matter though, even if he wanted to thank the serpentine he could because his body, mouth, face couldn't move at all. Instead he just closed his eyes and focused on breathing, he would get out of this and he would save Nya. He wouldn't say the w word.

He wouldn't let Nadakan win.

A few hours went by before Jay opened his eyes again, Clancey was still there holding a cup of water with a couple of bandages and towels covered in blood next to him. It took Jay a while to notice that the blood was his, hell it surprised him there was that much blood.

The ninja blinked a few times before Clancey offered him the water bringing it to his mouth letting Jay take small sips. "R-rest up, Cap'in says h-h-he doesn't want you dyin' so you'll have a f-few days to heal!"

The stuttering that came everytime Clancey spoke reminded Jay of how he was a couple years ago, he thanks the FSM he was able to stop a few months before he met Kai and Nya.

Jay coughed a little as Clancey set down the water. "I-I'm surprised you're st-still awake after all that... Th-this amount of b-blood loss shoulda sent you to Da-davey Jones locker!" While the little green amphibian expressed his concerns Jay blacked out for a moment.

It's true, the amount of abuse and beatings he's suffered both physically and mentally over the past two days should've killed him. Jay and every other pirate on this ship, Nadakan included, knew this to be true.

In fact the pirate captain was surprised Jay hadn't screamed once after an hour of torture, sure he had screamed a few times on the first day but the second he didn't say a word or cry or anything. He just endured it as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

If you had to ask Nadakan he was a bit disappointed in all fairness after all he was wondering how it would sound if Jay was at deaths door pleading for his life and for it all to go away. But alas nothing.

The Gjin just assumed this was Jay's response to trauma and abuse, an off switch if you will. While it was entertaining for him to have a nice punching bag to take stress out on it only seemed to annoy him more as he gained no satisfaction from beating up an already seemingly dead person.

To Jay though he felt like he was already dead, he died the moment he got kidnapped by Nadakan and watched as his friends helplessly stared at him as he got taken away. You might be thinking he was mad at his friends, you'd he wrong Jay was only mad at himself.

He was so mad that it took Clancey to point it out that he now had a broken leg, a punctured lung, multiple broken bones including the rib which explained the aching pain in his side and his eye now had his blood in it.

Clancey tried to do what he could, after all being on a pirate ship they couldn't really go to hospitals, the young serpentine ended up becoming somewhat of a doctor for the pirate ship but even Clancey and his great medical skills couldn't help Jay entirely.

Although the pain Jay felt was still antagonising he was finally able to say a few words after a couple hours. "Clancey... Th-thank you."
