3rd person's POV:

Ryan Erzahler was never the same after the events at Hacketts Quarry Summer Camp. Especially after the traumatic night all the counselors had experienced 4 months ago.

Ryan sat at his desk, doodling in his notebook when he was meant to be studying, but that was the last thing on his mind right now.

Ryan gazed at the sketch he had created. It had been a full moon which was shadowed by tall pine tree's. He crossed a line through it. What are you doing Ryan? Your assignment is due tomorrow and you are just sitting here and drawing things you were meant to forget. He thought angrily to himself,

Ryan was about to erase the sketch before hearing his phone chime with a notification. He grasped his device and tapped on the empty screen, seeing it flash onto his lockscreen before showcasing a banner reading: New message from ThatBadassLaura.
Ryan sighed, not overly in the mood for messaging but he wasn't going to be rude. Ryan pressed on the banner and entered his passkey before the screen filed into messages.

ThatBadassLaura: Hey Ry. Just wondering how you've been. Ik things have been a bit tough lately for you especially considering the fact that Dylan hasn't woken up yet..

Ry-Guy: I'm fine. I have no clue why you brought up Dylan, but it's horrible what happened to him. I just hope the guy will be ok..

Ryan stared at the two messages, it was true. Although all the counselors had survived the night, Dylan had passed out due to the blood loss of his left wrist where Ryan had amputated his hand with a chainsaw because Dylan had been bitten and quite literally begged Ryan to do it. From what Ryan knew, from Kaitlyn telling him because she visited him everyday in the hospital. She said that Dylan had a blood transfer and that he was healthy, but he hadn't woken up from his coma yet. She was really worried, and if he was being completely honest- Ryan was worried too. But he hadn't been to visit the boy at the hospital because he had felt guilty for what happened to him. Ryan felt that it was his fault that this happened to Dylan. I should've stayed with him..I shouldn't have left with Laura.. Ryan scolded himself but shook the lingering thoughts aside. The past was the past and sadly he couldn't do anything about it..

ThatBadassLaura: That's good. And I thought you guys were close that's all-
Sorry if I got the wrong idea..

Ry-Guy: You're fine. We aren't exactly that close.

ThatBadassLaura: Oh, okay then..

Ry-Guy: Hey Laura, I'm sorry but I kinda have to go, I have to study for an assignment. I'll ttyl?

ThatBadassLaura: Yeah, sure thing. No worries.

Ry-Guy: Thanks.

Ryan turned off his phone and flung it onto his bed beside his desk. Thoughts of their conversation trailed through his mind. He gripped his pencil but couldn't focus on the work that lay before him. Thoughts of Dylan and the incident just flooded into his mind uncontrollably along with the guilt that lingered along with it.

"What the fuck.."

Ryan buried his face in his palms which were growing sweaty.

"Why am I feeling this way..?"

The boy inhaled deeply, removing his hands from his face, staring at the papers that were placed on his desk.
He exhaled sharply before noticing a droplet of water drip onto the top paper.

"Am I..."

Ryan's eyes grew wet and he rubbed his them, his hands damp from the tears.
He reached for a capsule that was positioned on the far side of his desk and flipped open the lid, grasping the bottle and pouring a few pills onto his palm before emptying them into his mouth and swallowing. He had been on antidepressants for awhile. To deal with the stress of having to care for his little sister Sarah alone at the age of 17. After his parents had been in constant arguments and had become quite abusive toward eachother, their dad had left them and soon his mother had became depressed and a heavy drinker. Becoming too overwhelmed she then had abandoned them also, leaving them with her parents.

But a few months after, their grandfather had grown very ill and passed away while their grandmother was very frail and weak who was incapable of looking after them. She was soon moved into a retirement home, and soon everything had gotten too stressful for her and she had also passed away from a heart attack. Leaving Ryan and Sarah alone, Ryan had gotten a part time job while still attending highschool, providing for himself and his little sister at the age of 17 with also the responsibility of paying rent. But that was 4 years ago now, Sarah was 14 years old, turning 15 soon. While Ryan was 21.

Everything was hard for Ryan and he was constantly pushing himself, receiving a high level of stress from working most of the time for the little money he had while having to study, although he probably wouldn't go to University, he didn't have the money and he had to be here for Sarah because he couldn't leave her alone, she was only 14. Ryan had desperately wanted to go to Animation School but he knew that would be impossible in the position he was in. All of this had made Ryan depressed and he was prescribed antidepressants. Sarah had noticed Ryan's change in mood and how tired he had become and suggested that he should go to Hacketts Quarry as a counselor for the summer upcoming since he had always enjoyed it as a camper and had actually gone as a Counselor a few times.

Ryan tried to refuse, stating that he didn't have the time or money but Sarah insisted that he went for a break. She had applied for a part time job being a waitress at a cafe since she was old enough to start work, she said that her friend had offered for her to stay at her house for the summer which Sarah was looking forward to. Reluctantly, Ryan agreed. He didn't have much choice. He was actually quite looking forward to going back to Hacketts Quarry, he would have gotten to see Chris Hackett and his children, Kaylee and Caleb whom he was quite close with, they had always felt like a second family to Ryan. When he'd arrived, everything had seemed fine, meeting the other counselors he would be working with; Abigail, Emma, Nick, Jacob, Kaitlyn and Dylan.. Ryan was quite antisocial though and didn't really 'socialize' but he tried his best to interact at the least to know who the people were.

It was rather obvious that over the time he spent at that sumer camp that Dylan had grown the hots for him. But Ryan could hardly care, but if he had to admit. Dylan wasn't the dickhead he expected him to be, sure, the boy may have had sarcasm and rather dirty humor. But he was a good guy. He was funny and quite kind. But the last day of summer had ruined everything. The van the counselors were supposed to use to travel home in had broken down and they had to spend another night there.

Everything was good at first, Ryan got to spend some extra time with Dylan while they charged their phones, preparing for a party that they weren't supposed to be having. But soon things escalated when Dylan suggested they'd play Truth or Dare around the fire-pit. When Ryan had been dared, he had been dared to kiss either Kaitlyn or Dylan. He had chosen Dylan, although he didn't exactly know why. The kiss had been a quick peck and if Ryan was being completely honest, he enjoyed it.

But then things had taken a horrible turn as drama sparked between Emma, Abi, Jacob and Nick. And not too soon after that, the whole 'werewolf' incident happened along with people hunting them. Then Ryan having to chop off Dylan's hand. Then Laura turned up, explaining the whole situation and why she didn't show up, also that she needed to kill Chris. And everything else happened..

Ryan balled his fist where it lay on his desk. But a loud knock was heard on his bedroom door and a face appeared through the side.

"Ryan?"

Sarah asked through concern, the boy quickly wiped his eyes with his sleeve.

"Yeah?"

He asked, smiling slightly.

"I know something's wrong."

Oh fuck..
