3rd person's POV:

Kaitlyn's car pulled up to a pub, she parked the car before looking over at Dylan.

"A..pub?"

Dylan asked, confused. He would never had guessed that this would be the place Kaitlyn brought him to.

"Surprised? Well I thought we could both use something to eat or drink. Before we get our day started."

Kaitlyn admitted whole heartedly.

"I've already had breakfast but yeah. A drink doesn't sound so bad."

Dylan agreed and the two exited the vehicle and made their way to the pubs entrance.

As they entered, Dylan could feel most of the people's eyes fixed on his stub.

Dylan tried not to get emotional as they took a seat, he could clearly hear the people behind him gossiping about his missing hand. Kaitlyn noticed this and rested a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey. Don't listen to them. They're assholes and you're perfect."

Kaitlyn must've heard them too, she gazed at Dylan. Feeling bad for him.

"Yeah.."

Dylan said and the two were greeted by a waiter.

"I'll have a beer, thanks."

Dylan ordered.

"And I'll take a non alcoholic cocktail."

Kait added and Dylan looked at her teasingly.

"What? I have to drive you around without being drunk, don't I?"

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes as the waiter departed.

The two chatted amongst themselves about random topics as their drinks arrived. But Kaitlyn clearly noticed Dylan's gaze flicking to his phone every few seconds while they were talking.

He must be waiting for a text or call from Ryan..

Kaitlyn realized with a twinge of guilt.

Maybe it was wrong of me to take Dyl away.

Kaitlyn shook away the lingering thoughts and the two finished their drinks. The waiter came back to retrieve the empty glasses and Kaitlyn left a bill on the table.

"You didn't have to pay, you know."

Dylan said as they exited the pub.

"But I did. Today I'm shouting you."

Kaitlyn argued.

"Ugh."

Dylan sighed as they reached Kaitlyn's car.

"Hey uhh.. do you mind if I make a quick call?"

Dylan asked her as she went around to the drivers door.

"Of course."

Kaitlyn said.

"I'll wait here."

Dylan looked at her gratefully before fishing his phone out of his pocket and walking away to a more private area, Kaitlyn leaned up against her car.

Dylan scrolled through his contacts impatiently, eyeing Ry-Guy which was rather high up the list.

Dylan pressed on the contact, before eyeing it hesitantly. He still felt guilty for the situation, debating whether he should call Ryan or not to apologize.
