3rd person's POV:

Ryan leaned his head against the wall of his bedroom as he sat on his bed, his legs hanging off the side.

"Why the fuck did I say that?"

He grumbled to himself. He'd agreed to visit Dylan today. But why? He didn't have to go. Maybe it was something in the message that Kaitlyn sent that made him feel regret.

Ryan inhaled sharply before a knock was heard on his door and Sarah strolled in.

The night before, she had walked in on him having a breakdown and when he had tried to hide it, Sarah stated that she knew something was wrong. They had sat on Ryan's bed and Ryan had opened up to Sarah about the whole situation and she'd comforted him. Which made him feel better, that's when Sarah suggested that he should go visit Dylan, it had been long enough. Ryan said that he didn't know, but when Sarah sent a glare his way, he said that he'd think about it.

"Ryyyyannnnn!!"

Sarah groaned as she stopped before his bed, crossing her arms.

"Hurry up! Laura is here so you better get your ass moving to Northkill!!"

She grouched, glaring at her brother.

"Hey, don't use that language."

Ryan scolded before giving in and slipping his phone into his pocket while positioning his earbuds in his ears.

"Whatever, you swear all the time. And I'm not a little kid anymore."

Sarah waved him off with a flick of her hand.

"Now hurry up!"

Ryan got off of his bed before following Sarah downstairs. Sure, his little sister might have been bossy but she was really excited and happy that he was finally going to see Dylan. She thought it would really help Ryan.

"Hey."

Laura greeted from where she leaned against the doorframe.

"Thanks for coming. You know teens. You can't leave them by themselves. Never know what trouble they can get into."

Ryan snickered but his voice was sincere.

"Jeez, don't worry about it. Max is just happy to have the house to himself for a few nights or so."

Laura laughed and dismissed him.

"I'm only staying for a night."

Ryan stated.

"Sure. You'll change your mind."

Laura chuckled before walking closer, inspecting Ryan.

"Jeez, you sure dressed nicely for a change."

She giggled playfully, eyeing the outfit Ryan was wearing. A white jersey that fitted his frame nicely with some slick black jeans and gray sneakers.

"Sarah forced me to wear something 'presentable' instead of looking so 'gothic'."

Ryan rolled his eyes, nudging Sarah,
who flipped him off.

"Remember not to stay up too late. I don't want to deal with a grump when I get home."

Ryan reminded with a stern stare before making his way toward the door and looking back at Laura and Sarah.

"Hate you!!"

Sarah joked, sticking her tongue out.

"Love you too!"

Ryan chuckled slightly to himself before waving and making his way out to his car.

He got into the drivers seat before pulling out his phone and checking if there were any new episodes by Bizzare Yet Bonafide. He found one he hadn't listened to yet and funnily enough, it was about someone who claimed they had found Bigfoot. Ryan pressed play and connected his phone's Bluetooth to the car before pulling out of the driveway with a beep of his horn and the podcast started to play.

It was a 30 minute drive to NorthKill and Ryan looked up the coordinates that Kaitlyn had sent him for the hospital Dylan was staying at. He followed Google maps, the voice of the app quite annoyed him as it did to most people. But Ryan put up with it, knowing it was better than having to keep looking down at his phone to make sure he was going the right way.

Soon enough, Ryan arrived at the hospital and parked his car. The time was 9.56. He shoved his phone into his pocket and placed his earbuds into his ears before exiting his vehicle and heading to the entrance. He removed his phone from his pocket to double check Kaitlyn's messages. Apparently she would be waiting in the reception for him and that Dylan was on the 6th floor in room 94. Ryan sighed, not knowing how he could face Dylan. Well- he wouldn't really have to, since he wasn't conscious.
But Ryan was still really nervous.

The boy entered the hospital and almost immediately he saw Kaitlyn, she was kinda hard to miss due to her insane shortness and she stood out with her cropped yellow jersey and black tights. Kaitlyn marched her way over, Ryan could tell she was impatient when she did, grabbing Ryan's arm and pulling him aside. She may have been short but she was strong.

"Where the fuck have you been!?"

She demanded in a hushed voice, releasing his arm and placing her hands on her hips.

"Sorry I don't exactly live close to Northkill."

Ryan huffed with a small eyeroll, staring down at Kaitlyn.

"How long has it been again?"

Kaitlyn sighed impatiently.

"4 Months."

Ryan nodded.

"Makes sense."

Kaitlyn inspected him, her eyes traveling along the outfit he was wearing.

"Well aren't you dressed nicely? Tryna impress someone? White looks good on you."

She raised an eyebrow.

"Hardy Har Har. Sadly I can't 'impress' someone if they're asleep, can I?"

Ryan swayed lightly, smiling slightly.

"Pfft. Anyways, speaking of that 'someone', hurry up. We are running out of visit time."

Kaitlyn said, turning on her heels and striding towards the elevators while Ryan followed suit.

The two had entered an elevator and had arrived at the floor where Dylan's room was on.

"Soo. How is he? Like- healing wise."

Ryan asked to start conversation as the two made their way down the corridor, Kaitlyn's shoes clacking against the lino flooring.

"Dyl's fine. It's just good that you're finally visiting him."

As Kaitlyn said that, Ryan instantly felt regret. He never knew how much he was actually looking forward to seeing Dylan again. Asleep or not.

"...When did the others come?"

He asked hesitantly and Kaitlyn stopped to turn around and face him.

"Ryan. Whatever's going through your mind, stop it. You don't have to feel guilty about this whole situation. No, it may not be good that you've avoided this. But it's just really good that you finally came back to Northkill. I guess I was just worried...I was paranoid that you might never come to see him...Incase he.."

Her voice shook slightly.

"Incase he what?"

Ryan asked, eyebrows furrowing.

"Incase he never wakes up.."
