3rd persons POV:
"Hey, I know what we can do today. Let's look for a hook for you."
Dylan gazed at Ryan sencerely.
"Really? Are you sure?"
He asked, a tad confused.
"Of course!"
Ryan seemed shocked as if he was a little offended that Dylan would second guess his offer.
"That..that would be wonderful."
Dylan admitted, staring into Ryans eyes gratefully as he stretched out his hand across the table to grab Ryan's.
"Alright boys. Are you done?"
Danielle appeared before them, placing her hands on her hips. Dylan looked down at his plate which was surprisingly empty, all the chatting with Ryan must have distracted him from the amount he ate. He gazed at Ryan's plate; seeing it empty also.
Dylan nodded, rising from his seat and taking Ryan's and his own plate in his hand, resting them against the side of his left wrist. He made his way toward the kitchen.
"Hey, I could take care of my own plate y'know!"
Ryan protested, getting up and pushing his chair in, following the taller boy as Danielle rolled her eyes.
"I know. But I thought this would be a nice thing for me to do."
Dylan smiled as he rinsed down the plates and cutlery before he placed them into the dishwasher.
"Still. I could handle it."
Ryan pouted and Dylan turned to face him, leaning against the counter.
"You know, you're-"
"Hey Dylan! Guess who's here!"
Dylan was cut off by his mother and Dylan gazed at his watch while Ryan looked confused.
Shit. How could I forget?
The time read 11.06.
"What's going on?"
Ryan asked but Dylan didn't need to answer, such a familiar girl was seen strolling through into the kitchen and eyeing up the two with a wide grin.
"Hey boys."
"Kaitlyn? Why are you here?"
Ryan asked, his eyes narrowing with confusion. Kaitlyn rolled her eyes.
"Nice to see you too."
She then turned to Dylan.
"You ready to roll?"
Dylan bit his lower lip, not knowing what to say. Ryan turned to face him.
"What does she mean?"
Dylan felt guilty, gazing at the flooring.
"I'm stealing your boyfriend away from you."
Kaitlyn rolled her eyes, winking at Ryan.
"What the fuck? Why didn't you tell me?"
Ryan stared accusingly at Dylan and the boy couldn't meet his gaze, shame filling his eyes.
"I..I.."
"He doesn't have to answer to you."
Kaitlyn stated and grabbed Dylan's wrist, leading him out of the kitchen to which he didn't protest.
