3rd person's POV:
Dylan and Kaitlyn eventually started watching The Black Phone and almost immediately, Kaitlyn began to ship Finney and Robbin. But I mean, I do too so who can blame her?
But Dylan was very distant as though his mind were in a different universe as Kaitlyn fondly ranted about the movie and her theories for it to him. Dylan didn't mean to look uninterested but he couldn't help it, something else was weighing on his mind..but what exactly? Dylan couldn't tell, at first he thought it was the fact he was growing tired. But later on he figured that it was the racing thoughts of worry, anxiety at the fact. But the only thing was, Dylan couldn't exactly pinpoint what he was so concerned about.
Further on into the movie, Dylans worry grew deeper and the boy began to sweat slightly, he rose from his spot on the couch with Kaitlyn and turned toward her.
"Sorry, I need to use the bathroom. I won't be long."
He apologized before hurrying out of the lounge, leaving Kaitlyn staring after him with confusion.
"Shit shit shit shit shit."
Dylan gritted his teeth as he sped walked down the hall and entered the bathroom, locking the door behind him.
Dylan rushed to the sink and turned on the tap, splashing cold water onto his face before he placed both his hand and hook at the sides of the basin, hanging his head forward.
"What the fuck.."
He exhaled deeply and gazed up at his reflection.
Dylan closed his eyes and faced his swarm of intruding thoughts and concentrated hard.
He traced all the feelings within them.
He made out a face.
And a bright smile.
Suddenly Dylan realized who these all tracked back to..
..Ryan...
...oh..
Dylans eyes flew open immediately and he stared at his reflection.
"What. The. Fuck."
His face twisted into a frown.
"Why am I still thinking of him? I'm supposed to be having fun. Why do I feel so awful? I did the right thing in dumping him..or did I? Oh God I miss his adorable smile...I would do anything to see it again..."
Suddenly Dylan realized that he made a mistake.
"I've been so selfish..I wouldn't even listen to him..I bet if I just paused for a minute and used my ears than I would have known that I had it all wrong..oh idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot!!"
Dylan pushed himself away from the mirror and rushed toward the door, flinging it open and trying his best not to stumble as he raced down the hall and dashed toward the front door.
Kaitlyn saw him fly past and she immediately started after him.
"Dylan!? What the fuck are you doing!? Where are you going!? Are you okay!?"
But Dylan didn't look back.
"I'll explain later!!"
He called as he raced out into the street, leaving Kaitlyn staring after him, dumbfounded.
"Oh what has that dumbass gotten himself into this time?"
She sighed with annoyance and turned back to the house.
"Now I have to finish this movie by myself."
She huffed as Kaitlyn flopped back onto the couch.
Dylan ran down the street, not questioning why he didn't ask for the car. He wouldn't waste any time and he was incapable of driving in his condition.
Dylan dashed down the dark streets, navigating the nearest route to the highway as the streetlights dimly lit up his path.
Rain soon started to fall down onto the boy but he didn't care, Dylan fished his phone from his pocket before hurriedly selecting Ryan's contact.
Dylan selected the ring option and the phone dialed.
"Come on! Come on Ryan! Pick up!"
Dylan huffed with effort as he continued to run, not slowing his pace.
Soon the phone reached voicemail and Dylan drew in a deep breath.
"Ryan! It's me, and I know I'm probably the last person you want to hear from right now but I really need to talk to you, please consider calling me back when you get this!"
Dyl gasped into the device before shoving it back into his pocket and running, he was now on the side of the highway, running as cars zoomed past.
Another figure blurred into vision, coming in the opposite direction as Dylan's sight fought through the drops of rain interfering with his eyes. But Dylan hardly took notice.
He lifted his hood and continued running but as the opposite person gradually grew closer, Dylan gasped with shock.
"Ryan!?"
He slowed his pace as the other figure seemed to recognize him too, but instead of slowing, they ran up to Dylan and flung their arms around him.
"You don't understand how fucking glad I am to see you.."
Ryan sobbed into Dylan's shoulder as his cologne wafted up Dylan's nostrils, the scent he had missed dreadfully.
Dylan wrapped his arms around Ryan in return, burying his face into the crook of his neck, sobbing also.
"Oh my fucking god..I missed you so much.."
Dylan admitted quietly as the two held eachother close, rain continued to pour around them but they could hardly care.
They were reunited at last, finally they were back together, their bond now stronger than ever.Dylan pulled away first as water dripped from his hair. Ryan looked as though he did something wrong and as he went to back away, Dylan grasped his hand tightly and pulled Ryan back toward him, crashing his lips into Ryans.
Ryan blinked in surprise as Dylan wrapped his hands around Ryan's head but he kissed back with intensity and cupped his arms under Dylan's and held him close.
"I love you so fucking much..I can't ever lose you again..."
Dylan whimpered against Ryan's lips as they stared into each others eyes.
This was like one of those dramatic movie scenes where the rain is pouring all around the couple and they're having some dramatic interaction. Except this was much different. And much better.
"I fucking care about you..so much.. don't ever leave me.."
Ryans eyes glazed over and the two shed some tears, they collided again, lips locking as they held eachother extremely close.
"I won't ever...not again...god I'm so sorry.."
Dylan promised as they finally broke away.
"I love you so much.."
Ryan said sternly as he and Dylans faces were only mere inches apart.
"I love you too..."
Dylan confessed as his lips curled up into a sweet smile and his eyebrows knitted together. He was so grateful to see Ryan again.
Ryan returned the smile, his eyebrows furrowed as he pulled Dylan into another embrace, not wanting to ever let go again.
