The Last Snow Day

You open the red doors of the gun shop, finding it empty with no one but the store clerk inside. Some of the snow from of the outside breaches in when you open the door, but you stop it by closing the door. You slowly walk forward as you look around the store, seeing a rack of an assortment of guns placed on the wall. You walk over to the store clerk.

"Can I help you with anything?" The clerk asks

A few minutes later you walk out of the store, with something stuffed in your pocket. You take a look at the receipt as you head for your car. You get inside the car and take out the object inside your pocket. An M67 Grenade.

"Y/N I'm serious! I don't want our kids to be like Henderson!" Sky exclaims in fear

"Sky calm down! They won't, alright? It was only this one time. We've done it like, five" You say

"One can make a big change Y/N! I know that, and so should you!" Sky shouted

"I do alright? The more you worry, the worse it'll get. I suggest you calm down, and just, take a nap or something. Besides, I threw Henderson 2 stories down. He probably won't be back for some time" You said

"I know, I'm sorry. I just, don't want to talk about this anymore" Sky said, facing herself away from you

"Fine by me. We should get some rest anyway. It's getting late" You said

"I suppose" Sky said, turning her head to face you

You walked over to the bed as you hopped in, Sky laying down next to you. As Sky pulled the covers over both of you, Sky suddenly hugged you, not too tight, but not light as well. A caring hug, one she hasn't given to you in some time.

"Don't be scared Sky" You whispered

"I'm not" Sky whispered back as she nuzzled your chest

It was silent for a few minutes after that

"I'm cold" You could hear Sky whisper. You acted by slowly bringing yourself closer to Sky as you cuddled her, holding her softly as she did to you. You could feel a few minutes later as Sky fell asleep, and so did you.

You awoke the next day, still in the same position as you slept in with Sky. As you looked out the window, you saw small white flakes fall from the sky down to the ground below. You rubbed your eyes as you looked out the window, seeing a bright white sheet of snow outside your house

"Mhm...Y/N...?" Sky groaned as she began to wake up

"I'm here Sky. Don't worry" You responded

"What's happening?" Sky asked

"Just come and see" You responded, a smirk on your face

As Sky slowly got out of bed, she walked over to the window you were looking out of, and was shocked to see what was outside. She froze for a second.

"It's...beautiful" Sky responded

"So what are we gonna do today?" You asked

Silence came from Sky

As you stepped onto the snow, you found it being up to your ankle. As you walked forward, you looked back to see Sky still at the entrance scared

"Come in Sky, nothing will happen to you!" You said

"That's what you said about the bath water!" Sky exclaimed

"But you're still alive aren't you?" You asked

"I suppose" Sky responded

"Then come on!" You said

"No! I don't wanna!" Sky shouted as she rushed back inside, slamming the door. You rolled your eyes as you walked to the door and saw Sky slowly peeking out. You fully opened the door and was face to face with Sky. You grabbed her paw as you slowly brought her closer to the snow. As Sky covered her eyes, she stepped foot on the snow, and slowly uncovered her eyes

"See? Nothing to worry about" You said

As Sky placed her second foot on the snow, you could see her smiling, letting out a small chuckle as she quickly ran to the snow and played all around in it, rolling in it and jumping up and down. She was beyond excited to be in the snow. You smiled and joined her, both of you playing around in the freezing snow, but with all the fun you had you didn't even feel the cold. The time was past 12, and you came out at 9. Time wasn't even a thing when you were having fun with Sky.

As the two of you returned back to your rooms, both of you were shivering from the outside cold, even though you were inside. You took off your coat as you helped Sky take off hers

"Thank you for this, Y/N" Sky said, giving you a slight smile

"No problem Sky. I love having fun with you" You responded

You could see Sky blush upon hearing this

"So your aunt and uncle still decide to work even during this snow day?" Sky asked, sitting down on the bed as you took off your hat

"I know, tell me about it. It's an animation company for crying out loud. Whoever this VilSlav dude is, he needs to give them a break" You said

"VilSlav? Isn't that an author?" Sky asked you

"Well yes, but he's also the founder of VilSlav Studios, which makes high quality animations. My aunt and uncle are lead animators for that company" You explain

"Can't they just, work from home?" Sky asked

"Whatever floats their boat Sky. You can't force someone to choose one path. They make their own decisions, and we make ours" You say

"You are so wise Y/N. That's what I like about you" Sky said as you smiled

"So what do we do now?" You asked

"Hmm" Sky pondered for a moment "I know, let's watch a movie! We haven't done that in some time!"

"Sounds like a good idea" You responded with confidence "We'll watch it in here"

As you and Sky laid on the bed, you took the remote and went to Netflix, scrolling through the movies just like you did the first day you met Sky.

"So what are we watching today?" You asked

"Whatever you'd like Y/N~" Sky responded, a sleek smirk on her visor. You brushed it off and continued your scrolling. You ended up choosing Army of Thieves, a movie on Netflix. As you and Sky sat next to each other, you could feel Sky rest her head on your shoulder. You rested above Sky's head as you both watched the movie. Sky had let out a few yawns before you noticed her slowly falling to sleep. You were still wide awake, but decided to leave Sky be to sleep. You stopped the movie as you gently took Sky's head off your shoulder, laying her down on the bed. You then slowly crawled out of bed as you walked out of your room and headed downstairs.
