(Y/N) was dripping with sweat as you woke up the next morning, yawning to the rise of day. The minute you emerged from the sheets and duvet of your bed; your mind went blank momentarily. After a period of silence, you said: "fuck me, I'm fucking tired!" and got up from the bed. Pulling back the blinds as you yawned, you jumped to the sighting of a blackbird sitting on your windowsill. "Go away!" (Y/N) shouted at the bird and tapped the window. The creature hawked and took off like a helicopter, escaping from the lands of an impressive dictator.

Rolling your eyes, you turned your attention to breakfast. Heading out the room to descend down the stairs, you were rubbing away at your eyes that you accidentally just walked into a wall and thumped your head. "Fuck's sake." (Y/N) whined and proceeded down the stairs. (Y/N) barely slept last night. How could you after finding out Abigail is missing? you wondered to yourself.

Setting out the kettle, you scratched away at your neck whilst you were putting in the cold water to the kettle. Switching it on, you then suddenly heard you phone ringing. [Gasp!] "Could that be Abigail?" (Y/N) asked yourself and rushed over to grab it. But then, as soon as you answered...

"There you are you stupid woman!" Dennis exclaimed, coming from behind the corner. "AHHHHH!" (Y/N) exclaimed and threw a random book at him. But the thing just flew straight THROUGH him. "You thought I was gone away forever, didn't you?!" Dennis added. "Please. Please! Just let me go!" (Y/N) cried. Dennis took a ste closer towards you. You then caught glimpse of his eyes changing to pitch black. No pupils, or eyeballs at all. Just cold, empty black eyes. "AHHHHHHHHH!" (Y/N) screamed.

It was just a flashback. It wasn't real. You sighed and got up on your feet again. You were going over to the fridge to get a jar of milk. You then caught a glimpse of a police car rolling up onto next door neighbor's driveway. "What?" (Y/N) asked yourself as you took out the jar. Four officers emerged from their vehicle and divided into pairs. Two minutes later, they were knocking on your door.

"We're here to enquire the recent vanishing of a young woman called Abigail. We are seeking information, any information we can use to try and establish her current location. Do you know anything about this individual?" asked the woman. "Well... we are both good friends both inside and outside of work." (Y/N) replied. "So, have you been in contact with her lately?" the male officer asked. "Yesterday afternoon, I was speaking to her online. She wasn't feeling the best though so she couldn't go to last night's dinner event." (Y/N) replied. "That sounds about right. Because in the words of local residents, they seen someone flee pass their home without a trace." the officer added. "Well, I didn't see anyone last night. But that's because I was fast asleep."

"Stupid woman. Stupid woman. Stupid woman. Stupid woman. Stupid woman."  He chanted. And then, "tell the truth. Tell the truth. Tell the truth. Tell the truth. Tell the truth." he tormented her. "Madam?" the officer asked. (Y/N) was hiding your face behind the door to avoid Dennis staring straight into your soul. "Madam?" the officer asked again.

"Sorry! Sorry!" (Y/N) exclaimed. "Are you feeling, ok?" the young woman asked. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Sorry." (Y/N) added. "Don't apologize, it's not your fault. We understand what it's like to lose a friend." the woman added. (Y/N) took a couple of moments to yourself and then spoke. "Sorry I couldn't help you much." "No. It's ok. That's more than enough to help us find her. Thank you for your time." the officers said and headed over to their car. (Y/N) closed the door behind you and dragged yourself into the kitchen. But as you were heading for the window, you suddenly caught someone peeking in.

"Who the--" (Y/N) spoke. "Help me." you could hear the woman cry. You remained intact. What should you do? Should you call the police? Should you help her? Should you just leave her out there in the cold? you thought to yourself. This is a difficult decision. How the hell did she know where you live? Was she spying on you? Was she following you? There were so many questions spinning around in your head, that you didn't even know where to begin with.

Proceeding carefully to the door next to the window, you slowly moved with caution. This is so weird. Having to tip toe in your own home. How ridiculous.

The door creaked as you slowly opened the door. Then, the woman crawled over towards you. "Uh... excuse me. But... What are you doing at my house? It's getting pretty late; I don't think you should be here." (Y/N) added. "I... I don't know. I... I can't remember where I was going..." the young woman replied nervously. (Y/N) didn't know what to do, or where to turn. But the pain within her eyes was too awful to turn away. "Come on. I'll help you inside." (Y/N) said and offered your arm.
