Directly overhead, the clouds were slowly beginning to consume the sky. Warping it's malicious spell over the land. The boiling black clouds were somehow expanding as they were making their way into the countryside. Then, there was a sickening sound of creak, provoking the peace and quiet that once dominated here before the storm. The wind was beginning to whistle. It's echo sound was then beginning to accelerate rapidly. The bushes were waving violently, some tree branches snapped in half and fell to the ground. Then, there was a sudden clap of thunder, followed by a brattle of lighting.

Deborah was creeping around the edge of town in so that no one can see her

Deborah was creeping around the edge of town in so that no one can see her. Typically easy these days with the lack of light around the corners. As she stealth throughout the streets, passes many houses, and crossing the road to proceed to the opposite end of the town, she doesn't really know where she needs to go to find her mum. "God damn it. If I don't find her now, I might never be able to find her." she muttered angrily and stamped her foot against the ground.

She sighed and looked around her surroundings. She could tell a storm is about to approach, but honestly doesn't give a shit about it, just as long as her mummy is ok. Well. If she can find her that is. Initially, she was considering calling the police, but with the circumstances they are living in, she doesn't feel so confident in talking to anybody ever since the day the landlord kicked them out of their phone. Come on. Sure, she did miss a few bills and she has a drinking disorder, but that was no right to boot them out. Still. To this day, Deborah feels embarrassed talking about the situation.

From a distance, she can begin to hear the faintest sound of thunder. The storm approaches. "I'll need to go get her. And fast." Deborah said, suddenly changing her attitude. She looked for a signpost that could maybe help her go to the crossroads, where the police officer said she was last spotted from earlier.

But before she crossed the road, she spotted a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows of the hedges and the bushes. It was disguised amongst the dark, but clear enough to see the shape of the figure. The creature was swiftly sneaking along the edge of the road, more to the siding of the other houses on the opposite end across the street. Deborah couldn't tell whether it was a dog or a cat, but all she knew is that it was a bit bigger than the average size of either described.

1 hour later

The Storm is intensifying. The wind has picked up the pace and is now violently abusing the life out of bushes. It snatched some tree logs in half, then they fell either into muddy patches, or the rain swept them away. Deborah tried to navigate her way through the heavy rain, pouring down from the heavens and descending to the floor of the earth. The wind was making the journey more difficult since Deborah is as light as a feather, though not that light to be fair. She felt the force at the mercy of the storm, like an invisible shield defending something from any intruders.

Just to the right, she spotted an old railway line running through the country. She then spied something flee across the tracks. "What the?--" the shadow sprint in rapid succession. The creature made a hustling noise as it rushed through the bushes, causing twigs to fly momentarily into the air. "What the fuck was that?" Deborah asked. Then, it made a squeaky noise.

"Oh. Probably just some rat who got lost." Deborah spoke and headed on into the eye of the storm...

30 minutes later

Deborah appeared to confront the location she was looking for. The crossroads. Supposedly where her mum was spotted apparently, according to the cops. "Hello?" Deborah called out.

 "Hello?" Deborah called out

There was no response. Just dead silence fills the air. Surrounded by forests of trees. Big, tall spiky things poking out, capitalizing their nature and their atmospheric environment. Deborah's stomach took a sicky churn. "What the hell..." she spoke as she crested on to her chest. The pain was slowly beginning to ascend. The atmosphere was slowly making things harder to see. Then, the bitter cold was beginning to settle in. And as Deborah adjusted to the environment, there was suddenly rustling in the trees to her right...
