"Have a... Have a seat whilst I make us a cuppa." (Y/N) spoke. "Oh. No, no, no. I... I can't. Let you do that." Deborah replied. "It's fine! It's fine! To be honest with you, I've been having a kind of a rough night myself." (Y/N) said as you poured the water into the kettle. You could hear the stranger gulping. "Ok. Allow me to introduce myself. I am (Y/N). What is your name?" (Y/N) asked.
"I... I am... Deborah." she replied weakly. "Ok. ok. Nice to meet you. Where are you from?" you asked as you sat yourself down. Deborah was pretty shaken up. But you don't know why. However, thus remains why you are suspicious of what's going on, and how did she just randomly come across your house.
"So where ae you from?" (Y/N) asked nervously, precautious of her words. Deborah gulped and blushed with embarrassment. "If you don't want to tell me, you don't have to." (Y/N) said. Deborah gulped but deeper this time. "we'd been evicted." she responded. (Y/N) face turned pale white. "You... You were evicted?" (Y/N) asked. "ye.. ye... yeah..." Deborah added. (Y/N) gulped with guilt. You were originally thinking on calling the police. But maybe you still should. They might be able to get her onto some sort of accommodation or some sort. But then, there was something else that Deborah said. "Excuse me. Excuse me. You don't mind me asking me this. 'We'?" (Y/N) added.
"I was living with my mum." Deborah spoke. "But the problem was... she's an... was an alcoholic." She added. (Y/N) didn't know what to say, or what to do. You decided to slide closer over to her and rubbed her back. "I'm so sorry. Where is she now? Is she in hospital?" (Y/N) asked. It took a while for Deborah to speak out. Then, she replied simply: "Worse."
Tears were coming to your eyes. You tried your best to hold them back, but you couldn't stop the odd one flowing down your cheek. "Oh Deborah. I... I don't know what to say. I am so so sorry." (Y/N) added.
"...Which is why I had sought out help." Deborah spoke. (Y/N) looked puzzled. "Help? Help with what?" you asked, piquing your curiosity. "Listen. What I am about to tell you will sound nuts." Deborah said. "Ok, should I be worried?" (Y/N) asked nervously. Deborah gulped. Then atlas, "yes."
"After my mum disappeared, i initially thought, 'oh. she's away for the booze again'. Usually, it would be like 30 minutes and then she comes back." She added. "However, those 30 minutes turned to an hour. So, I was thinking, 'perhaps she's at the bar'. So, I waited in the alleyway for her, waiting for her return patiently." "And then she never came back." Deborah explained. (Y/N) was feeling empathetic for her. An alcoholic parent. A deserted homeless life. "Go on. What happened next?" (Y/N) asked. "It was only a matter of time unless I spot the cops outside the alleyway. I was very suspicious of what they were talking about. So I was in on it willingly." "They mentioned, 'a woman last spotted out on the crossroads'. So..." Deborah said before being interrupted.
"Oh my god. Don't tell me you went out there." (Y/N) added. "I... I'm afraid that's correct. I had to go find her. I couldn't let her wander the place mindless, especially with her drinking problem." Deborah added. "Jesus Christ, what the fuck were you thinking? You could've died from Hypothermia!" (Y/N) exclaimed. "I was ok. I had my jacket on. And my wooly coat. So I wasn't worried about myself. What I was really worried though was about my mum and wondering if I'd ever find her." Deborah added in response.
"Ok. So where did you go after that?"(Y/N) asked. Deborah sunk into the sofa. She was too scared to reveal what happened afterwards. But (Y/N) was the only person she feels she can talk to so she followed on ahead.
"I was navigating my way through the woods. I can hear someone coughing so I'd followed the sound. But by the time I made it... it was already too late." Deborah added. "Take your time, take your time. There is no rush." (Y/N) reassured Deborah.
"It was my mum. At the bottom of this gigantic pit in the middle of the woods. The place was creepy. It was just this massive, big... space in the ground. As I looked over... there she was... flooded in blood." Deborah replied... and then she started crying. "Blood? where did the blood come from?" (Y/N) asked. "I... I saw teeth marks. And pink fur over her body." "That was when I saw... the thing." Look. Are you sure you weren't like... oh shoot, what's the word I'm looking for? Hallucinating it?" (Y/N) asked. "No. No, I was not. It was like a big pink... spider. It looked like the one from a poster that advertised 'Playtime Co'." Deborah spoke. "Mommy Long Legs? I remember used to going there all the time when I was little. Well. Until the factory closed down. But how can you be sure it was her? or... the thing?" (Y/N) asked cautiously. "BECAUSE I SEEN IT FOR MYSELF WITH MY OWN EYES!" Deborah screamed and busted into tears.
