Chapter Twenty Two | Investigating the Basement

The inside of the facility was worse than the outside. Pieces of infrastructure were torn apart by time. By nature. 15 years since the closure of this place, Playtime Co. has seen better days. The walls became decrepit. Worn out, ruined of age and neglect. Like the whole town had just forgotten about it. 

"It's dark. Veeeeeeery dark in here..." Deborah spoke nervously as the pair of you treaded carefully into the chamber. "Come on. What did you expect?" (Y/N) whispered. But you can't deny yourself from the terrifying eerie silence. Years of abandonment sure has must've give way to something not visible to the human eye. 

The chamber was terrifying. Completely stripped of it's life it once had. Now left deserted to ruin. Yet some of the factory equipment remained somewhat intact, with half busted pipes, then shelves of olden toys, ripped apart though. You can see pieces of string hanging out from the inside, of where their head used to be connected to before God knows what happened to them afterwards. There was one of what appeared to be some kind of kitten or something like that tumbled over on the shelf, lying there for probably the duration of the last 15 years. "These things are horrifying. I can't even look them in the eye. They just look so... cold. And lifeless." Deborah added.

"Come on. Let's head on further." (Y/N) whispered. Deborah nodded her head nervously and followed you through into the depths of the darkness...
