The place was dark. And creepy. The trees were posing like ominous statues, towering over the both of you as you tread carefully through the cobbled roadway, mostly covered in leaves, and in mud. Horribly soggy mud. Some patches were as deep as a puddle. You could tell as one of the twigs fell from the tree and landed into the tiny pit with a silent splash, before sinking its way into the mud. Almost like a person falling into quicksand, you thought.

Continuing to stealth through the passageway, the pair of you jumped when a blackbird leaped out of the trees. "Jesus Christ. What the fuck. That scared the living shit out of me!" Deborah exclaimed. "I know. Should've known it was too quiet for comforting." (Y/N) spoke.

"Hey!" Deborah exclaimed. "What? What is it?" (Y/N) asked. "Why is there a random doll sitting there?" Deborah added, pointing her finger towards the object.

The figure was small

The figure was small. But noticeable from a distance. Red, rusty muddy hair were all over the place as it remained in its place. Broken. Deserted. Abandoned. Neglected. But the thing was too creepy for anyone to even consider taking it come. Its gigantic blue eyes looked somewhat realistic, with what appears to be red cracks showing in the eyeballs.

"What the fuck..." Deborah spoke. "Yeah, that thing's terrifying. Would never even buy someone one of those..." (Y/N) added and continued strolling through the old road. The weather was making it difficult to see ahead. The fog and the eerie silence combined together presented a sense of unease and nerve among the pair of you.

~Timeskip to sometime later~

(Y/N) halted in your tracks. Ahead of you both stood a dark and ominous building before you. There stood many impressive chimney pipes, probably some kind of boiling chamber or something similar inside. But judging from many news articles you have read about in the past, one very particular headline came to your mind.
