Desired Hatred

Chapter 31

Voices slowly started to increase as I woke up. I instantly recognized my mom's voice and Nelson’s.

"This is your fault! If you didnt bring that bitch back into your life this wouldn't have happened" I hear my mom yell.

"My fault?! You two kept this condition from me!" Nelson yells.

"Because she asked me too! She didn't want her condition to hold you back!"my mom says frustratedly. "But that doesn't change te fact that you brought back the bitch you cheated on my daughter with"

I slowly opened my eyes. The first person I see was Natalia sitting on a chair near me. Tears were streaming down her face. Wayland was cuddled up against her. Natalia's eyes meet mine causing her to start sobbing harder.

"Momma!" She cried waking her brother up in the process. She immediately starts to climb up into the bed with me.

"Natalia you can't-" Nelson starts to say before i shoot him a glare.

"Don't" I growl at him as I pull Natalia up onto the bed with me. Natalia clings to me tightly. "Shh baby I got you" I whimper to her.

My mom walks over to me. She picks Wayland up and set him on the bed with me. Wayland immediately curls up into my side. His hand clings to my shirt tightly. The room was quiet as I comforted my babies. Wayland fell asleep almost immediately. Natalia however refused to sleep.

"Mom can you move Wayland" I ask breaking the silence.

My mom walks over picking up Wayland, gently pulling his grasp off my shirt. I move so Natalia could sit on my lap and lay against my chest. It was a method I learned to help her sleep. Her hands grasp my shirt tightly as I move my blanket over her.

The doctor walks in quietly and smiles at me. "It's good to see your awake" She says yo me. "How do you feel?"

"I feel alright" I answer.

"That's good. I just have to run a few tests." She says to me.

"Can you work around her?" I ask gesturing to my daughter who was still wide awake and clinging to me tightly.

"I think i can manage, unless she wants to help me check on her mommy" The doctor says to Natalia.

"I'll help" Natalia says sitting up.

The doctor checks on my breathing and heart before allowing Natalia to listen to my breathing and my heartbeat. Natalia looked alot calmer now which I appreciated. Once the doctor was done Natalia move to curl up against my side which her head on my chest. She finally allowed herself to sleep.

"She's been so worried about you since she got here" The doctor says to me.

"Im sure. Thank you for that. I think she needed that" I say.

The doctor nods before heading out. My mom walks over and sits next to me. "The doctors want to keep you till tomorrow. I can take the kids home if you want" She says.

"Take Wayland. He is the least stubborn out of the two. If you try to takr Natalia she'll throw a fit" I say.

"I will be back in the morning then" my mom says leaning to kiss me head. She pulls the blankets up over Natalia more before picking up Wayland. "Do not stress her out anymore" My mom scolds my husband before leaving 

Nelson moves to sit down next to me. I lay my eye in him to see he refused to look me in the eye. "Your mom is pretty mad at me" Nelson says.

"What gave you that idea?" I say in a snarky attitude.

"Look, I know you are mad at me as well." Nelson says as he finally looks at me. "I'm sorry. I know I should have told you she gave me her new info to contact her and I shouldn't have even thought to get in contact with her but-"

"There's no buts Nelson" I growls "you fucked up again"

"I know" Nelson says. "But in all honesty she said she wanted to apologize to you. I told her I would ask you but I had to go on that trip. I shortly figured out that she lied just to get me to take her number. I can prove it look"

Nelson holds out his phone to me. I take it to see he had Autumn and his conversation.

Nelson: Hey Autumn. I'll be home soon to ask Y/N if you can apologize to her.

Autumn: I cant believe you are still with her after all this time. She made you close down Syntec.

Nelson: It was what was best for her and our kids, Autumn. You know this

Autumn: She ruined us Nelson. She ruined what we had.

Nelson: You didn’t want to give me your contact information so you can apologize to my wife did you?

Autumn: Wow aren't you so smart.

Nelson: Do not contact me again. The past is to stay in the past. My wife and I are happy together with two amazing kids. Why would I ruin that?

Autumn: Maybe because I did what you asked me to. Deb is gone just like you asked.

I looked up at Nelson after reading the texts.  "Does the team know?" I asked.

"They do. Autumn was taken into custody that night. I guess she managed to get hired by Matt under the name Alex. She used the time machine." Nelson explains.

"Good" I say reach over to grab his hand.

"I'm sorry" Nelson whispers tears running down his face. "I never wanted to hurt you again nor be the reason you ended up here"

"I guess we are even then" I say causing Nelson to laugh.

"I guess we are even" Nelson says looking at me lovingly.
