— "Table for three, please"

"How polite" you tease when Kenma is surprisingly the one to get the table arranged. The three of you had did a coin toss to see who would be the one taking all the order cause in reality you were just in the mood for the food rather than conversations with chatty waitresses.

"I don't get why you had us dress up.."

"This is a top of the line restaurant" you cross your arms knowing good and well you just wanted an excuse to look dress nicely. You wore a lengthy emerald colored dress that bunched up around your curves, thick straps that met behind your neck, complimenting the amount of gold adorning your throat. You wore long silky gloves just for the effect, a little white star painted on your forehead to match the others printed on your temples.

"Y/N this is an Olive Garden"

"When you grow up broke everything's fancy—complain and you can take yo ass home"

You and Kuroo's annual dinner voyage only comes around once a year on a random Sunday. You hit up cheap places in fancy clothes and eat to your hearts content. It was a rare occasion that Kenma actually tagged along but you were sure he was just as hungry as the both of you this time.

It was Kuroo's turn to pick this year and even though you had argued that Olive Garden was in fact very fancy you still ended up drunkenly putting in the reservation the night before.

Fortunately for you this was a great opportunity to flip your weekend around considering how miserably your date had ended.

Kuroo wore a full fledged suit, he had the coat, the shades, the tie and the slacks. He was definitely dressed to impress. He fixed the watch about his wrist as you awaited a table, sitting around in the waiting area patiently.

Kenma on the other hand coulda blended in as of the waiters, wearing a waistcoat that hugged his shape with his sleeves scrunched to his elbows to flaunt the wrist he had strung with a two extra hair ties in case the one holding that loose bun that was run through with a pretty little silver clip.

You fiddle with the ring on your finger till you're escorted to your seats and you feel almost like royalty as you and Kuroo strut down the aisles behind the incredibly fast waiter. Kenma took his sweet time, stumbling across your table long after you took your seats.

"What took you so long?" Kuroo asks when he finally arrives with gloved hands shoved in his pockets.

"The waitress was running track, I was not about to participate in a marathon just to get to the booth" he shrugs, easing down next to Kuroo across the table from you.

"Don't get their pasta unless it's Alfredo or something" you advise quickly

"Why not? Of course he'd be ready to challenge that

"It tastes like straight water" you warn him "my brother could make better sauce than the kind they make"

"What a shame" he slips the menu from off of the table, pinching it between his fingers in search of a meal that looks mediocre enough to actually come out tasting good.

"Oo can we get the calamari for an appetizer?" Kuroo asks

"Bread sticks, I want garlic bread sticks" adds Kenma quickly, peeking over the menu with those amber eyes of his.
