—"And then they lived happily ever after" Kenma just got done telling you all the lore to the walking dead game, a game you both played back in middle school. He looks out the window as you drive, your personal lookout. You had already dropped Sai off to school and now it was smooth sailing till you made it to Nekoma

"You can't end the story like that"  you suck your teeth

"Why?"

"Cause half of the group died!" You exclaim

"I mean everyone dying is kinda a good ending, a lot of them didn't turn"

"Lee died" your frown deepens

"Okay yeah that wasn't the best of endings, but for the others it was good ending" he shrugs

"That game was sad as hell" you say "But Luke from the uh..what part was it? I don't remember but he was hot"

"He fell in a river."

"You don't have to remind me" you wipe away a fake tear with your nail, still mourning "and stop getting jealous over pixels"

"I'm not being jealous i'm being real"

"Mm I want donuts"

"For breakfast..?"

"Yeah for breakfast! I know you ain't judging" you send a testing glare his way

"Nope" he sits back, his shoes left on the floor of the car and his knees against his chest as he scrolls through his phone. He looks a lot smaller in the seat of your truck but he really wasn't all that short when you stood next to him.

"Good, you want something hun?" You also him as you, by some miracle, manage to squeeze your truck into the tiny drive thru

"Two boxes of glaze—" the fact that he says this all with a straight face only makes it harder to believe this boy wants two boxes of donuts for himself.

"Are you about to eat two dozen donuts, Kozume?"

"Are you judging?" He directs your question right back at you, glancing up from his phone

You turn to the window "Two dozen glazed donuts please!" If you weren't so fond of this boy you would probably still be buying him two boxes of glazed donuts "Oh I wanna try that new donut thingy, it's got raspberry in it I think?"

"Okay so look, I got the new donut" you hold up one bag "but I got my usual too, just in case I don't like it" and then you hold up the other

"What if you end up liking it..? He rubs his eyes

"Well then it's a double treat!" You chirp. Luckily for you, you didn't have to worry about getting your steering wheel all nasty because while your fluffy pink steering wheel cover was in the washer you were forced to ride around with the leather zebra print one. Not your favorite but it was easy to wipe down.

"Hm."

"Let's hope that's the case, cause I'm really not in the mood for a bad taste in my mouth" you flick your hair over your shoulder, repulsed by the thought of a mood wrecker like that

"Why would anyone be in the mood for a bad taste in their mouth..?"

I dunno, masochism is all the rage these days" you shrug, taking a bite out of it

"What's the difference between those and the raspberry filled donuts?"

"They have these thingys on top of them—I have no idea what they're called but they're cute" you point to the mountain of cute little shapes scattered over the top. Hearts and bows. "And delicious"
