Today you had a field trip So you were supposed to be excited.

But no. You were beyond frustrated. You couldn't help but steal glances at the boy sitting a few rows ahead, Kuroo sitting with his blonde buddy.

You mutter about your current problems to Natsu, using the reflection from her dead phone to fix your lip gloss

"You kissed him?"

"Can I not do that?"

"It depends what you meant by it" "if you were kissing him in the privacy of your room then I it wouldn't be a problem but you kissed him in public"

"The hell do you mean?"

"You don't kiss a fuck buddy in public" she tells you, completely over your delusional ass excuses.

"Some people do" you bite the end of your nail, trying to get around every single

"Was it lust or love?"

"HUH?!" Your first reaction was to slap a hand over her mouth but you hold back and stare instead "Why is that even a question? I didn't mean anything by it"

"Then why'd you do it?"

You shrug. Did you need to have a reason? You just wanted to so you did it.

She gives you a knowing look.

"But I'm not.." you start "I'm not in love with him"

"You can be 'not in love with him' all day but he's in love with you"

"No he's not" especially not after yesterday "I mean seriously how am I supposed to like someone who doesn't even tell me anything?" You hiss

"Why are you telling me this?" Natsu didn't even bother looking at you with that one, twirling her hair round her finger. There was only so many times she could tell you the truth

"I'm just hoping that I'm lucky enough to not get that response" you smile

"You're worse than him Y/N" You've set her off "you refuse to be serious about anything"

"I am serious!" With a gasp you bring a hand to your mouth "I'm serious alll the damn time" that in itself was a bold faced lie.

"You're scared to be serious about whatever you two got going on cause you don't wanna make a fool of yourself" She sighs "well listen to this Y/N, love is for fools" "you're gonna be a little weird in the head cause of it—you can't just hide behind the 'I'm just playing' phrase all the time"

"Ouch"  your frown, rubbing your forehead "I felt that in the 'what the hell are you talking about' part of my brain"

"And while you're at it" she points at you, and you brace yourself for a lecture. But instead she gives you a single demand  "quit treating him like he's just a side item"

"But that's what all my men are" you frown "that's like telling me to stop thirsting after Louis Vuitton bags! They're ugly as shit sometime but the pink one is sooooo cute"

"Right so that made no sense" the puts a hand on your shoulder "But you better figure something out cause he's got feelings too even if he looks like a fucking robot" she says "I'm sure he's pissed off you guys are still classified as fuck buddies"
