Chapter 30

I spent the whole next day in bed catching up on all of the sleep I didn't get the past week. When I did wake up it was only either to use the bathroom or to eat and I was right back in bed. Waking up the following morning I was refreshed and ready for the day. I just planned to lay around and watch TV but I woke up to a missed call and three unread text messages from August. The previous night I forgot that he was supposed to call me so we could just talk, nothing major but I fell asleep. 

After getting up I decided to call August.

"Sorry I fell asleep last night," I apologized after he answered.

"I figured that."

"So what are you doing today?"

"I'm about to head over to my moms and help her clean out t-."

"Your actually going to clean," I asked sarcastically and he sucked his teeth.

"Ha ha, but for real though you tryna come help?"

"Didn't you just spend a whole week with me?"

"And....."

"And I thought you'd be sick of me by now."

"I am but I don't want to do all of the work by myself and I figure you owe me."

"And how do you figure that?"

"Look down at ya wrist."

I smiled and looked down at my bracelet and rolled my eyes.

"I'm going to take it off if you keep on talking about how I owe you?"

"How...I got the screwdriver?"

"I'll find one to fit in it, and if that doesn't work I'll cut if off."

"Man you play to much, I wish you would."

"Try me."

"Aight see if I buy yo ass anything else."

"So do you want me to come help or not?"

"Yes."

"And what do I get out of this deal?"

"Whatever you want," he said in a flirtatious tone and I bit my lip and tried to clean my mind of dirty thoughts.

"I'm sick of that, I want something else."

"Remember that, I'll take you to Dairy Queen when were done," he started and that got my attention.,

"And...?"

"Buy you a large brownie cookie dough blizzard."

I smiled my stomach growling after he said that.

"Okay," I perked up, "What time are you coming to pick me up?"

He chuckled "An hour max."

"Okay I'll be ready and waiting."

"Good cause I don't want to be waitin all day."

"Bye," I hung up on him and climbed out of bed, freshening up and dressed in a old tank top and some old D.I.Y. cut off shorts and some old gym shoes. I ate a quick bowl of cereal and grabbed my cell phone and keys and put them in my pocket and left the house.  I waited a total of ten minutes before August pulled up and I rolled my eyes and got in the car.  

I planned to call him out on being late but once I got in the car he sent a smirk my way and leaned over and kissed me and all was forgotten.

"You sure you want to spend the day cleaning," he asked soon after he pulled off.
