After my birthday and me telling August everything nothing has changed between us.  Since then we've made an agreement to be honest with each other. I knew it would be hard but I promised him I would try, we would both try.

My birthday was two weeks ago and today we were supposed to be hanging out but he called me that afternoon groaning about him dying and I thought he was just being melodramatic so I told him I would see him when he felt better. I could have went out with the girls but since I felt kind of bad about leaving him home sick and 'dying' (his words) I stopped by the store and picked up some stuff and headed to his place.

I showed up just after six and it took me about ten minutes to go up because in this new building of his that had some heavy ass security and they had to buzz up to his apartment since I wasn't on his guest list. After that I headed on up to the top floor and by the time I reached his door and knocked it was only a few seconds before he opened up the door, bundled up in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. His nose was red and he looked worn out, I guess he was sick.

"Wassup," he greeted me moving to the side so I could walk past him.

I walked past him and entered, "I hope you don't mind me stopping by, I just wanted to come and check on you."

"You didn't have to do that," his voice was so raspy I almost didn't recognize him.

"I wanted to. I couldn't let you die on me, so I came to nurse you back to health," I smiled.

"Where's your nurse uniform at then?"

"Forgot it at home, but what I'm wearing will do just fine," I walked to his kitchen to sit the bags down.

"Yes it will," I heard him mumble and when I looked back over my shoulder I noticed he was staring at my ass.

"Anyway, I thought you didn't get sick," I smiled recalling what he told me months back about him never getting sick.

"It's yo' fault but I'm glad I am if I gotchu nursing' me back to health," he smirked.

"Don't get used to it."
After sitting the bags down I took off my shoes and jacket putting them aside and walked up to him. He was leaning against the kitchen counter and I pressed the back of my hand to his forehead. I was surprised at how hot he was.

"Did you go to the doctor?"

"Doctor," he said the word like it was funny and his chuckle turned into a cough.

I jumped back away from him and walked over to the bags pulling out the can of Lysol and spraying it up and all around.

"Damn," he complained fanning his hands in the air, "You had to spray that much?"

"You coughed in my face fool," I sat the can down, "And your burning up, you know you can die if your body temperature gets to high don't you?"

"I aint that hot, I'm straight," he shrugged but I he was obviously putting on a show for me. I had already noticed how sluggish he was walking and talking.

"Did you call your mom?"
His face was priceless, "I'm a grown ass man, why I need to call her for?"

"A grown ass man who's scared of going to the doctor," I mumbled but said it loud enough for him to hear.

"I aint scared of nothin'."

I shook my head, everyone was scared of something but I wasn't going to go there with him.

"I brought you some medicine and stuff and if this is just a bad cold then this should help but if not then I'm driving you to the emergency room."
