The ride to the city was pretty quick. Sarah and the house staff made some small talk. She did notice the staff member did seem a bit nervous. Which made no sense. Why would they get in trouble for giving her a ride to the city?
Once the staff member parked the car in a parking garage, they made sure to tell Sarah to be back here in four hours. That's how long it should take the staff member to do all the shopping. Sarah told them that she will be back in four hours. Not even a minute late. Just in case though, Sarah gave them her phone number.
Sarah went off walking. She had no real direction in mind. Just wanted to walk around and enjoy the city. Who knows maybe she will find a place with actual paper applications, and she can grab one.
After walking around the city, a bit, she started to get thirsty. Sarah saw a small café and decided to go in. She really could use a nice hot cup of chai tea.
When Sarah entered the café, she accidently bumped into someone. She looked up to apologize and was surprised who it was. It was one of her old coworkers from the construction site! His name was Tom and he was a supervisor.
"Tom!?! What a small world! I am so happy to see you! How have you been?" Sarah said as she hugged him.
Tom smiled and hugged her right back. "I am doing pretty well!" Tom pulled back from Sarah and looked at her. "I am so sorry that you got fired. It was totally not fair. If I had any clue you were going to get fired, I would have fought for you to keep your job."
"Hey it's okay. It is not your fault. It's no ones fault. Not even the boss's fault. How about you and I grab a drink, sit down and catch up a bit? Do you have time to kill?"
Tom looked down at his watch, smiled and nodded his head. "Yeah, I have some time. I already have my drink. Order yours and meet me at that table." Tom pointed towards a table against the wall.
Sarah smiled and went to order a large hot chai tea latte. Once she got her drink she went and sat across from Tom.
"Before we get to me, I have to know what happened after I got fired."
Tom went on to tell her that the day she got fired five other guys were fired. That things have been tight and the head manager was always talking about money. There was a rumor going around that a massive investor pulled out from the company. Not only did the company have to let people go from their construction site but from almost every department.
"Thats insane! If the rumors are true, I wonder why the investor pulled out. I am sure there are things behind the scenes that we aren't aware of." Sarah said as she took a sip of her chai tea.
After talking about the construction company, a bit more Tom filled her in about his life. He got engaged to his longtime girlfriend. Sarah was ecstatic. She congratulated him and wished him luck with the wedding planning!
When Tom was done, he asked Sarah what she has been up to since being fired. He also asked about what was going on during the last few weeks before she was fired. He and everyone else noticed she hadn't been the quite same.
Sarah went on to explain about how she hadn't been sleeping well. Which was weird since she is normally a great sleeper. When she sleeps, she sleeps like she is dead. It is not easy to wake her up. For some odd reason though during those few weeks she just didn't sleep well.
She quickly went on to talk about her guys. Sarah had the biggest smile on her face as she talked about them. She went on to explain how they had been there for her when she lost her job, how she lost her two best friends, how her apartment got broken into. Sarah truly believes that she would be homeless, jobless, and friendless without her guys.
When Sarah was done talking, she noticed Tom had an inquisitive look on his face. "What's with the look on your face?"
"I am very happy that you seem to be doing very well but it something doesn't seem right. Your life was going perfectly well and then you meet these two men? Did you ever notice how it seems like your life started to go downhill after this Kevin and Richard came into your life?" Tom said.
(AN: Sarah told Tom their names when she first started talking about them.}
Sarah sat up a bit more straight at hearing that. She didn't like how he was insinuating that her guys had something to do with her life falling apart.
"No offense Tom but you have no idea what you are talking about. Okay, now that you pointed it out it is weird timing but how could they be responsible for everything going wrong? How could they possibly ruin my sleep or get me fired? The person who broke into my apartment was caught. He had passed out onto my bed. You might choose to see it as weird timing I like to think of it as perfect timing. They came into my just as I needed them to."
When she was done talking Tom held his hands up. "Okay, okay, okay. You're right. The thing is my gut is telling me something is off about this whole situation. My gut has never been wrong."
"Well, your gut is wrong this time." Sarah said bluntly. She looked up at a clock on the wall and decided she spent enough time here. "It was nice seeing you Tom but I need to go. Good luck with your wedding." Sarah grabbed her drink and left the café.
'I hope the staff member is done with shopping early. I really want to go home and cuddle with Shadow. How dare someone accuse the two most wonderful guys having anything to do with the bad things that has happened to her recently.'
When Sarah reached back to the car, she was so happy to see the staff member back at the car. They had a phone in their hand. It seems like they were about to call her to see if she was ready to go back home.
Sarah got into the car. She was more than ready to go home!

I have been reading a story called Theirs written by jhenny_pink
I tried to think of how to summarize the story in my own words but I had a hard time. So, I asked them if I could copy and paste the summary they had for the story. The author gave me permission to do so.
The story is wicked good and I strongly recommend reading it! It is quickly becoming one of my most favorite stories on this site!

I took a step backwards as I felt Theo's chest collided with my back. Feeling anxious I tried to remove myself but his hands gripped my waist in position as Leo stalked closely before with a sly smirk on his face.
