Birthday Plans

Richard knew she was lying. She could easily fool someone else but not him nor Kevin. Kevin told him all about her tells as a kid and him being a lawyer he could easily see she was lying. He thought about calling her out on her lie but decided against it. It will make it more fun to tease her while she tries to keep up her lie. Richard leaned back in his chair and smiled at her.

"Okay I understand. I won't bring this up again. Just keep in mind the offer is always there." Richard said looking at her.

"Thanks. I appreciate it but I don't think I will take ever take it up." Sarah said.

Sarah did feel bad about lying but she had seen how badly just a physical relationship could end. Emily have had a few friends with benefits and it always ended badly. Now she knows all that the guys are offering is kissing she doesn't want to take the risk. Richard and Kevin mean a lot to her.

As they were discussing getting desert Richard got a text from his client. The favor was done. Richard couldn't help but smile. Here he was having a very nice lunch with his Sarah and soon she will be out of a job. He knows it wasn't 100% set in stone but he was confident her job is done for.

"What has gotten you so smiley?" Sarah asked while smiling as well.

"Oh, nothing really. Just got some great news about a special case I am working on." Richard said as he put his phone away.

The two of them decided they would take a small walk and see if anything happens to catch their attention for something sweet wise.

"So, sweetie your birthday is in a few days. I know we have talked a bit about it but I think it's time to make actual decisions. Kevin and I talked about it. We know it's a thing to go out to a club and get wasted. We thought that instead of doing that you could come to our place. Where we can introduce you to an array of drinks. We can also help make sure you are safe and sound. There will be no worries that someone will drug your drinks, that you will drunkenly go home with some stranger, or do something you will regret in the morning." Richard told her.

Sarah took a moment to think it over. "I appreciate the offer; I will think about it and get back to you. I know my friends had plans for my 21st. I know I haven't talked to them in a bit but we had plans. We were going to go bar hopping."

Richard got mad hearing about her friends. He thought they weren't in the picture anymore. He knows his Sarah haven't talked to them. Kevin and him blocked their numbers on her phone without her knowledge. He feels confident that she would have told either of them if she saw her friends in person. The guys had plans for her 21st birthday and they needed her to be at their house.

Richard saw an ice cream pallor just ahead and pointed it out to his Sarah. "Why don't we continue this conversation over ice cream?"

Sarah smiled and agreed. When they got to the shop Sarah went up to the ice cream case and looked at the flavors. "These all look so good. I am not sure what to pick. Do I go with my favorite? Chocolate chip cookie dough or maybe one of their specialty flavors. Cotton candy moose tracks? Maybe not that one."

As Sarah was looking at all the different ice creams Richard was thinking about how to convince her to forget her friends plans and to get her to their place. Richard quickly got out of his thoughts and smiled at his Sarah. She was so cute looking at the ice cream. He couldn't help imagine her in pigtails and a cute little dress. Coming here as a special treat since she was being a good girl. He is very much looking forward to that day.

After Sarah figured out what she wanted the two of them ordered their sweet treats. Sarah ordered a small cup of chocolate chip cookie dough and Richard ordered a small cup of orange sherbet. They decided to sit down inside to eat.

"I know you said you made plans with your friends but are you sure the plans are still on. You haven't talked to them in a while. Also are you sure would even want to risk going out with them? Especially since this will be your first-time drinking. You don't really talk much about Gerald but Emily you have talked a lot about. I feel confident to say that I can see her getting you wasted and leaving you to hook up with a stranger. For Gerald I am not sure what he would do but once again I feel confident to say if someone attractive comes along, he will ditch you. I believe you have mentioned before they both have done that. Emily more than Gerald. So why take the risk of them doing that when you are drinking for the very first time?" Richard said to Sarah.

Sarah sat there thinking about what Richard said. She started to pout a bit because she knew Richard was right. She didn't want to admit it but it's true. Sarah doesn't really think that they would ditch her on her birthday but it has happened on other occasions. This time she will be drinking and if they were to ditch her it would be very unsafe. While she was thinking she took a few bites of ice cream.

Richard just sat there watching her think. He didn't want to bother her train of thoughts. He was confident she would make the right decision and come to their place for her birthday. If she makes the wrong decision well the guys will have to get a bit creative and shows her how horrible her decision was.

Richard saw that some ice cream had slipped down her lips. His Sarah hadn't noticed since she was deep in thought. Richard leaned forward a bit and wiped her lips with his thumb. That startled Sarah and noticed saw that Richard had wiped her lip and now had ice cream on his thumb. Instead of wiping his thumb on a napkin he licked the ice cream off.

"Sorry. I didn't want to risk the ice cream falling off your lips and onto your clothes." Richard said.

Sarah realized she was staring at Richards thumb and mouth. When she realized Richard said something she nodded her head. "Thank you for that. Sorry for zoning out. You gave me a lot to think about."

Sarah then slumped her shoulders a bit. "I hate to admit that you are right but you are. I swear my friends are good people but you are right. I haven't talked to them in a while and they have ditched me in the past. Especially when they have had a few drinks and there are attractive people nearby. I will give you a definite answer tomorrow. I just want the night to sleep on it."

"Okay Sweetie. Please let either Kevin or I know by tomorrow." Richard said.

They both finished their sweet treats. Since neither of them drove and Richard didn't want their Sarah on public transportation, he called Kevin to pick them up from the ice cream pallor. Kevin grumbled and said that they better pick him up some peanut butter swirl ice cream for this.

Kevin arrived at the ice cream pallor and smiled when he saw his Richard and his Sarah. His loves. He got happier when he saw they had his ice cream. He loved peanut butter swirl!

On the car ride back to Sarahs the two of them told Kevin everything they talked about and did. They didn't mention how Sarah said she didn't want to kiss them. Richard plans on bringing that up later at home. This way they can work on making plans to get her to admit the truth.

Once back at her place the guys as usual insisted on walking her up to her apartment. "Remember to think about what you want to do for your birthday. It's very soon. Richard and I would love to celebrate it with you. We will keep you safe and you will have an amazing time."

Sarah agreed said goodnight to the guys. The guys each gave her a hug and kiss on the forehead before they left.
