That had to be the worst night sleep she had ever gotten. Sarah was in a horrible mood. No matter what she did she just couldn't sleep. Well, she did get some sleep but she couldn't stay asleep. Sarah even had two cups of that sleepy time tea. Now not only is she mentally exhausted she felt physically tired; YET SHE COULDN'T SLEEP! She really hopes today goes well at work. She needed an easy no stress day.

As soon as Sarah arrived to the construction site she got to work. She was going a lot slower than normal cause she keeps making mistakes. These were mistakes she shouldn't be making. Then whenever someone tried to talk to her, she would snap at them. Sarah apologized almost immediately after but people quickly learned to stay away from her.

A bit over halfway of her shift her boss called her into his office. 'Oh, great what does he want. I just want to finish my work and go home.' Sarah thought. Sarah quickly finished what she was doing and went to her bosses office.

"Hey boss. You need me?" Sarah said.

"Um, yeah. Please take a seat." Her boss told her while pointing to a chair in front of his desk.

Sarah was starting to get a bit worried. Her boss never asks her to sit down. When he does its usually for some big news. "Okay." Sarah said with some worry in her voice. She sat down and then folded her hands in her lap.

"I have no idea how to start this. I have been dreading this conversation. I tried not to have this conversation. I did everything in my power to avoid this. This is not easy and sadly this won't be the last time to have this conversation today."

Sarahs boss started to go on a ramble. It was clear he was nervous and didn't want to have this talk with her. Sarah was doing her best not to snap at him and to tell him just to spit it out already. She unfolded her hands and started to tap her fingers onto her pants. She didn't have time for this. She needed to get back to work.

"Boss I don't mean to sound rude but I have to get back to work. Can we please hurry this up a bit?" Sarah said tiredly. She just wanted this day to be over.

Her boss took a deep breath in and finally said "I am sorry but your fired."

As soon a Sarah heard that she jumped up and yelled "WHAT!?!"

"I am so sorry Sarah. We have had some unexpected and unfortunate money issues. If this company wanted to be able to finish this job on budget, we had to make some cuts. That sadly means cutting back on labor. You aren't the only person being fired today. Today might actually kill me. This isn't easy on me Sarah."

Sarah was about to interrupt him and ask why she was being let go. She has always been a good and loyal employee. Yes, recently her work has slipped a little bit but she didn't think it was something to be fired over. Even with budget cuts. Her boss put up a hand to stop her from speaking.

"Listen I am so sorry about this. Unfortunately, your work hasn't been up to standard lately. Not only did you mess up on ordering supplies but you look exhausted. Which is a safety hazard on a construction site. You could seriously get hurt because you weren't paying attention to where you are walking due to yawning so much. I know you have been doing your best to catch all of your mistakes but sometimes you fail. I fix them for you because I know it's not like you. Sadly, though I can't cover for you anymore and I have to let you go."

Sarah had no words. She wanted to both yell at him and break down crying. All she could do was storm out of his office and do her best to hold in her tears. As she went to grab her stuff the guys all tried to talk to her but she just shook her and ignored them. When she grabbed her phone, she immediately called Kevin.

When Kevin picked up Sarahs called all he could hear was her taking in deep breaths. He got concerned and started to call her name out and try to get some clue as to what was happening.

"Sarah. Baby Doll what happened? Please tell me what is going on. I am getting worried."

"Kevin. Please come get me. I want to go home and I don't want to take public transportation right now." Sarah said trying to hold her tears in.

"I will be right their Baby Doll. Don't worry. Where are you?" Kevin asked. He didn't need to ask because of the tracker on her phone but his Sarah didn't need to know that.

Sarah told him she was at the construction site and that she was going to be a little bit down the street from it. Sarah had started walking there while she was on the phone with him.

"I will be there shortly Baby Doll. Stay on the side walk where I can see you. I am putting you on speaker. Do not hang up on me until you see me."

Kevin got into his car, put his phone on the speaker and sped towards to his Baby Doll. He heard her trying to keep tears in and his heart broke. He has a feeling about why his Baby Doll is so upset. If it's true Richard and him will be ecstatic. They don't want their Sarah to be upset but certain things needed to happen. They will make her happier in the long run.

When he saw his Sarah on the sidewalk he parked quickly and got out. When Sarah saw Kevin coming towards her, she hung up the phone, ran to Kevin, hugged him and started crying. Kevin wrapped his arms around her kissed her head. Whispering that it will all be okay. That he is here and always will be.

Once Sarah had calmed down a bit she pulled away from Kevin and wiped her eyes. "I am sorry for getting your suit all wet. I didn't mean to cry so much."

"You have nothing to be sorry about Baby. You were and are clearly upset. You can cry as much and as long as you need to. I can get the shirt cleaned later. What matters is if you are okay. Now how about I take you back to your place, you can take a nice long hot bubble bath, and then when you feel better you can explain to me what happen?" As Kevin talked, he took his Sarahs face into his hands and wiped the tears off of her cheeks.

Sarah smiled a bit and nodded her head. "Baby Doll. I know you are upset but you still need to use your words. I won't tell Richard or punish you this time but consider this your last warning. Okay?"

"Sorry Kevin. All of that sounds really nice. Thank you for being here with me." Sarah was just so tired and her emotions where everywhere that it didn't register in her mind that Kevin said he would punish her next time she didn't use her words.

Kevin led her to his car. He opened the passenger side door and helped her get in. He even put the seat belt on her. He loved doing that and couldn't wait to it more often. With her in the back seat. That will be safer for her.
