Their Obsession

The Park

The car ride to the park was very silent. Both Kevin and Sarah could tell that Richard was not happy about what happened at the mall. Kevin had met Richard's client a few times. That man gave Kevin the heebie-jeebies. Richard did his best to keep Kevin away from this client but that wasn't always possible.

There were work events that Richard had to attend and he brings Kevin along. Kevin is the more open one of the two. So, he helps Richard seem more softer to his coworkers. Also, when meeting new clients seeing Richard married to such a friendly man made them feel like Richard had a heart. Instead of an emotionless robot.

Richard couldn't keep Kevin away from his client but he will do everything in his power to keep Sarah away from him. With any luck today will be the only day his client and Sarah will ever meet.

While, Sarah had questions she knew better to speak up. She just hoped that once they get to the park things will get better. The three of them had a great day at the mall. It would be a terrible thing for a small interaction to ruin the whole day.

When they got to the park there were a few people there but not too many. Kevin initially parked a bit further away from everyone but Richard stopped him. Richard told him to park closer to the other cars. Kevin gave him a weird look but did as Richard said. He will definitely be asking Richard about it later.

After finding a parking spot surrounding by cars the three of them got out. From where they were they could see the park was very pretty. There was a small field that was surrounded by a bunch of trees. There were park benches where people were sitting and talking on.

The three of them walked into the park. With Sarah once again was in the middle of the two men. Sarah wanted to reach out to hold Richard's hand but he was still tense and clearly lost in his own world in his mind.

Kevin saw a trail leading into the trees. "Hey don't we take a walk on that trail. See where it leads?" Kevin said as he pointed to the trail.

"Why don't you and Sarah go check it out. I am just going to sit on this bench and try to clear my head for a bit." Richard said. He then sat on the bench they were close to.

Sarah was about to say she would stay here with Richard, when Kevin grabbed her hand and shook his head. She did look back at Richard before they left. "We won't be gone long. I hope you get to clear your head."

Kevin and Sarah went ahead to the trail. They both looked back at Richard who just sat on the bench looking around at everything.

What they thought was a small thing of trees turned out to be a small forest. It was so beautiful and colorful. Sarah enjoyed it so much. She will definitely ask to come back here again. Hopefully Richard will be in a better mood.

When they first entered the forest, she tried to pull her hand away from Kevins but he just tightened his hold on her. Sarah had no issue with that. She really enjoyed holding his hand and can't help but wonder what it would feel like to hold both his and Richards hand at the same time.

The two of them kept silent as they walked. There was no one around and it was just so peaceful. That the idea of making any noise seemed wrong.

As they walked, they stumbled upon a small lake. They also saw a tree swing on the edge of it.
