.How could it be...a forest elf...but weren't they chased away? I look at Theoden and see him in pure shock, he even dropped the knife.
"How..." Theoden whispered. "Hello, young one" The elf speaks, "my name is Ellarian Pinegrove, I am a knight of the royal guard and have been sent to the pursuit of the Golden Eye Calis for four years I've been looking for it and lucky me, I have found the ones who bare it" he introduced himself in detail.
"Listen, we don't want trouble-" Krensa tried to speak but I interrupted him. "What the fuck are you even talking about? We don't have some golden eye...calis was it?-"
He unsheathes his sword and appears in front of me, putting the sword to my neck. As he begins talking, he walks forward making me back away without the sword leaving my neck.
"Don't act a fool. It'll only make it worse. I know you have it, so don't make me take it, and just hand it over" he speaks sternly.
"What? Too scared to take it away?" Just as I said that, another sword hit his, nocking it out of my neck's way.
Makaela had taken one of his spare swords and now stood in front of me aiming her sword at him. "Step away." She instructed.
Ellarian turns and walks toward Theoden, who was still in shock about seeing another one of his kind just appear on our doorstep...well, more like through our door.
"But...the calis was never an elven possession, why are you looking for it?" Theoden asks through his amazement.
"Of course it was, child. What do you think I'm doing all the way down here then?" Ellarian asks, "you have all been lied to for years and years, of course the monarchs would be rid of all our tracks."
"Wait, so you're telling us, the calis is the forest elves'? Aren't they all, y'know, gone?" Krensa asks, too cautious to even make a move.
"Yes, and no. We are not "gone"" he corrects sternly, we were chased away, with the original plan of just getting rid of us completely. Of course we fought back and headed north" he explained.
"Some bullshit" Ash said, "How come you never come here? You never came back, not for them" he points at me and Krensa, "and not for him", he finishes pointing at Theoden.
"He has a point, they shouldn't be living in these conditions if you guys are still available" Makaela speaks up.
"How come you never came to get us? Did you even know we existed?" Krensa asks, "did you know HE existed?" He points at Theoden adding emphasis, his voice sounding agitated.
"We did not know of your existence, do you know your last names perhaps? Maybe that way it'll be easier identifying you" Ellarian speaks.
"We never knew our last names, let alone our parents. We were left behind as younglings" I speak sternly staring at him, "ever since the monarchs took over we've just been trying to escape this hellhole"
"Well, you're in luck. You're going home" Ellarian gives a genuine smile, "all I need is the calis and it'll all be over". Ash speaks up, "if we give you the calis, will we leave this place too?"
Makaela looks at him and puts a hand on his head, "will we...come too? At least him, please" she looks at Ellarian gesturing at Ash.
"No. None of us is leaving if we aren't going together" Theoden says making clear we are not giving the calis that easily.
"Listen, I'm loosing my patience, so give me the calis and I'll talk to the king and bring you back-" he was cut off by Krensa "we are leaving together or we aren't leaving at all!" He speaks up.
"Either leave without the calis, or take us all with you" Krensa finishes. "Fine then, I'll search for it myself" he snaps his fingers and whistles came from the windows, suddenly Theoden and Makaela fell to the ground.
"'kaela? MAKAELA!" Ash screams nudging her to wake up, "what did you do to her?!". "Don't worry, she's just in a deep sleep, step down and I won't do the same to you" Ellarian walks towards Ash and takes out his sword aiming it in front of him.
"Don't touch him!" Krensa yells as he runs forward, another whistle was heard and he fell to the ground mid run, that must hurt when he wakes back up.
"Don't even try it." Ellarian speaks looking at me as I tried to pick up a metal bar, "arms up and you won't end up like them"
I exhale through my nose getting back up slowly, raising both my hands in surrender, "if the calis is what you want, it's not on this level. Just promise me you'll get us to safety and that's it, all of us."
"...very well" he sighs and looks at me, "what level is it in?". "I guess your swindler ass will just have to find out" I shrug and he taps on his sword, sending through the door about five more soldiers who begin to scout the building.
"TARGET ACQUIRED!" A guard screamed from upstairs. I look down in defeat and sigh.
"Now, take us away from here." I say looking back at Ellarian.
He chuckles and shakes his head, "did you really think I would keep my word?". I look at him despitefully, "you lying son of a bitch! Y'know? We all looked up to your stories, to your honesty!"
"Well...you did wrong" Ellarian turns around and was about to walk out the door when Ash bursts towards him, his hands...they were on fire!
"SON OF A BITCH-" he yelled. Another whistle was heard and just as he bumped into Ellarian unconscious, he was thrown on the ground.
"What the fuck..." Ellarian says as he reaches for Ash's neck moving his jacket's hood from the back his neck, showing a glowing cracked shape on his skin. He asks, "How long has he had this?"
"Why should you even know? The only one who knows is Makaela. Currently lying on the concrete floor" I reply sternly
He exhales through his nose and looks at the guards. "Gather them up, they're more important than we thought..."
