"Ugh..." I groan, feeling my head spinning, slightly opening my eyes I see Ash sitting on a corner of the room we appeared to be in.
He reacts to my groans and walks closer. "How do you feel?" He asks.
"Dizzy, what the hell happened? And where's that idiot, I want to blow his head off." I answer pretty pissed.
He sighs and sits back down beside me, "I don't know, I just woke up here like fifteen minutes ago...or hours ago, time feels strange"
I sit up and look around what appeared to be a holding cell, polished stone walls and floor and a green color metal bars for a door, way too detailed to look like a holding cell but it just felt that way.
"Where are the others?" I ask a bit more aware of my surrounding, Ash points at the door and as I walk up to it I can see Krensa sitting alone at a cell right in front of ours across the hall.
"Where's Halo and Theoden?" I ask looking from Krensa back to Ash. "They took them" he says with teary eyes, "they said they were going to interrogate Halo but they said absolutely nothing about Theoden, they just took them and it's been almost a day" he says pointing at a sky light down the hall slowly fading it's light.
I turn and look around the cell, theres was nothing that could help us get out of here. These people really took captivity serious.
"I tried everything, they took my stuff" Ash says sitting next to the gate hopeless. A metallic bang was heard down the hall, yelling followed, coming closer.
"WE MADE A DEAL! YOU SCUMBAG!". It was Halo, I guess the interrogation was done. "Gods, will you shut her up?!" A guard was also heard. "You'll all pay for this!-" at that, a hit was heard, Halo's thrashing around and yells seizing.
Krensa quickly got up and tried to look further down the hall worried. "This one goes with the white haired guy right?" A second guard spoke. "From what the king had ordered, yes, some bullshit of "can't keep them apart or they'll suffer more" or something", another responded.
Further shuffling was heard as they appeared into view, each one pulling Halo by an arm, her head hanging backwards, making visible a cut on her forehead, and her body limp.
"Step back", the first guard ordered Krensa. As he did, they opened the gate and carried Halo inside, putting her down in a corner and walked out, closing and locking the gate once again.
Before leaving they brought a tiny bucket with a cloth in it. "Clean her wounds." The guard ordered taking turn and leaving for good.
Krensa quickly picked up the tiny pot, got closer, and pulled Halo to his lap. He started to lightly clean the gash on the right side of her forehead.
At seeing Halo flinch, he softly shushes and caresses her cheek. I just noticed he hasn't said a word nor made a noise until now.
"Krensa..." I speak, yet he doesn't respond. "He's been like this since I woke up, he just doesn't want to talk" Ash speaks up from his corner.
"Good lord" I sigh and sit down next to the metal door. Not having another option than to watch Krensa's worried, tired look pay attention to Halo's wound, and the gray stone wall in front of me.
"Wait a second..." Ash suddenly speaks and runs up to the metal bars and holds them tight, closing his eyes and focusing his strength into his hands.
"What are you doing?" I ask but he shushes me quickly. "Shush, I'm trying something..." I see the bars begin to turn red, was that heat? Was he heating the bars with his hands?!
"Ash..." I speak with no response, I could only be flabbergasted at the sight of the bars melting into Ash's hands as he created a hole in the door.
"How did you-" He quickly interrupts, "no time to explain, I don't know either, come on" He grabs my hand with his now cold one and we both step out.
He kneels in front of Krensa's cell and he lightly whispers, "we'll go get the keys and get you two out of here", Krensa only gives a slight nod and goes back to cleaning Halo's gash.
We run down the hall, keeping quiet as we pass guards who were either asleep or just minding their own business way too much to worry about a presence behind them.
Stepping into the wrong room accidentally, we hear a crowd of laughter stop, as we slowly turn around, we see what we suppose is the King, sitting on a big throne at the end of a long table.
At his left, his second at command, from what we knew about how their royalty worked, and at his right...was that....Theoden?....
