"𝐀𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐈'𝐦 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞!!"
There was this little girl at the park, that was were you first saw her. She was a radiant child, with light in her eyes, always smiling even if there isn't something to be happy about. She was kind, caring, and overall like any other kid.
She would whine and cry from time to time, but it was normal. She'd be courteous when speaking to people older than her, because that was what is taught to her. She would fret over someone when they have sustain injuries while playing, and she'd share her sweets to her friends to cheer them up.
It was 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭.
.
That little girl became a teenager. She wore a timid smile while walking to her 7th grade classroom, gripping her bag's strap tightly. There was a dim light in her eyes.
You saw how her personality decrease over the years, though can someone blame her? When your parent argues almost everyday; shouting at each other day and night, never a time where they ate without a problem brought to the table, and on the verge of a separation, it gets tiring to keep up acts.
But she was still there to support her remaining friends. She'd have her arms spread for them when they're experiencing break-ups. Would support and help them when they're having trouble expressing feelings and doing homework's. Sometimes, it was her who does all the work, but it was alright as long as her friends get their much needed rest.
She was okay with things.
.
.
She turned 19 and stopped caring. Her eyes dull and no light was shining off of it, you knew why. She didn't have the friend she once had when she was a child. She never smiled about anything anymore. She had finally left the house she grew up in, so I guess that's something to be happy about. There was nothing wrong with her thoughts, thankfully, it's just, empty. There was just this gaping hole within herself, and she doesn't know what to do anymore
And for the first time in your life, she finally saw you.
"Hey, it's been awhile. You look rough, not a surprise though."
Furrowing her brows in confusion upon seeing you, she states, "You look...different."
Laughing at her question and giving her a wide smile. "I do, don't I? Well I hope it's a good different?" tilting your head and looking straight at her.
She finally saw you, and you were going to make the most out of it. There was so many things you wanted to say to her! Wishing that you can comfort her when she needed a shoulder to cry on, telling her that it's going to be alright and things would be better. Nonetheless, you know there is only so much words you can tell her, and that would be too troublesome even for the both of you, so you settled on hugging her.
"I can't promise you anything, but things happen for a reason...You might not find the answer right now, but someday, everything will be solved."
Clearly knowing the meaning behind those words her form trembles, the 19 years old girl, 𝖼𝗋𝗂𝖾𝖽.
She cried the tears that was hidden from everyone. All the suffering she experienced. She buried her face into your chest as you hugged her tight, you supposedly providing her shelter from the cruel fates of the world. It's okay to cry once in awhile if you ever feel suffocated and helpless. Having those emotions is what makes you, human.
And as she feels the warmth she had once lost, her 19 years old self turns into a 7th grade teenager, turning last into the little lady she saw at the park.
The one who'd cry when she scrapped her knee.
The one with the light in her eyes, albeit it's not as bright as her 5 years old self, it was there and that's what matters.Yeah, she'll be fine.
𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲.
Because you'll soon be realizing that the world is bigger than the corner you've pushed yourself into.
Soon to be acquaintances that would soon turn into real friends,
Dreams that you'll be achieving! There was so many opportunities waiting for you out there,
awaiting for you to come out of your shell. So hang in there, self!!
As the saying goes, "𝖳𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾 𝗂𝗌 𝖺 𝗅𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍 𝖺𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖾𝗇𝖽 𝗈𝖿 𝖺 𝗍𝗎𝗇𝗇𝖾𝗅" except when it's nighttime, I guess.
