You get out and so does your dad. "Tell that thing to stay in your car." He calls out as you rolled your eyes and ducked to look into your car. "Stay here in the car, okay?" You said to Connor. "Whatever you say, Detective." Connor replied as you grumbled back saying. "Yeah, whatever I say."

You walk towards the house nearing the Do Not Cross sign while crowds of citizens and reporters alike start calling out to you and your dad, asking questions.

Connor sits for a moment before he opens the door to your car and starts to follow you and your dad. He comes up to the Do Not Cross hologram tape when an Officer Android stops him. "Androids are not permitted beyond this point." The Police Android said to Connor. You and your dad turn to look back and see that it was talking to Connor.

"It's with us." Your dad said before you could say anything. "Be nice, Hank." You muttered to your dad who rolled his eyes at you. "What part of stay in the car didn't you understand?" Your dad asked Connor. "Y/N's orders contradicted my instructions, Lieutenant." Connor replied to him. "You don't talk, you don't touch anything and you stay outta our way, got it?" He then said to Connor, as you smirked. "Got it." Said Connor.

"Evening, Hank and Y/N." Your colleague Ben said as he walked out the house. "We were starting to think you weren't gonna show up, Anderson's..."

"Yeah, that was the plan until this asshole found me and Y/N." Your dad said as he points at Connor. "So... you two got yourselves an Android, huh?" Ben asked. "Oh, very funny. Just tell us what happened." Your dad said, sarcastically, as he and Ben walk inside of the building. You glance at Connor who was already looking at you, you shake your head and walk inside, Connor not far behind you.

"We had a call around eight from the landlord, the tenant hadn't paid his rent for a few months. So he thought he'd drop by, see what is going on... that's when he found the body..." Ben informed you both and that's when a sudden wall of the stench of rotting flesh hits you.

"Fuck, that shit smells!" You exclaimed, disgusted as you three walk in and see a few other Officers walking around while right in front of you in the living room was the decaying body of the victim. Over the body was a message in blood:

I AM ALIVE

'Clearly this guy isn't.' You thought to yourself as Ben said "The victims names Carlos Ortiz. He has a record of theft and aggravated assault... According to his neighbours, he was kind of a loner. Stayed inside most of the time, they hardly ever saw him." Ben further explained.

You knelt down to the body as your dad did the same, you took notice to the multiple stab wounds in his chest. 'Poor guy' you thought

"Uh, state he's in... Worth calling everybody out in the middle of the night... could've waited 'til morning." Your dad said Ben. "I'd say he's been there for a good three weeks. We'll know more when the coroner gets here. There's a kitchen knife over here..." Ben said as he points over to a bloody knife not that far behind you, just to the left. "...probably the murder weapon."

"Any sign of a break-in?" You asked fiddling with the sleeve of your jacket.

"Nope... the landlord said the front door was locked from the inside, all the windows were boarded up. The killer must've gone out the back way." Ben said as you glanced towards where the back entrance was and frowned.

"What do we know about his Android?" Your dad asked Ben.

"Not much. The neighbours confirmed he had one, but it wasn't here when we arrived." Ben said which made you wonder where the Android could have gone. "I gotta get some air. Make yourself at home. I'll be outside if either of you need me." Ben said making his way for the front door.
