Snow fell on you and your dad as you two were sitting on a bench in the park, looking out towards Ambassador Bridge and the city. Your dad had a bottle of beer and was drinking while you just sat there.

You look over your shoulder and see Connor sitting there in the passenger seat of your car. "Damn it, kid, you really care about Connor, don't you?" Your dad remarks, you turn to face him as he holds the beer bottle out to you. "What's that supposed to mean? And no thanks." You say as he shrugs and chuckles then said. "...You're not denying it..." You frown at him as he continues. "I've seen the way you look at him... I'm not blind... plus I'm your dad... you haven't liked anyone since..."

"Let's not go there, dad!" You said, firmly.

"I'm just... worried... I don't want to see my little girl get hurt. You remember how hard it was for you..." Your dad said taking a swig of his drink. "How could I forget? It didn't just effect me, did it?" You says as your dad watches you. "I know I haven't exactly been dad of the year... but..." Your dad begins as you interrupt him. "Dad, I appreciate your concern. But... I'm not stupid, I know nothing would happen. He's an Android and... I'm just me." Then you look up at your dad and said. "I'm just gonna ignore it, after this investigation is over he'll be gone... then I can go back to being myself."

"Look, he saved you from the roof, then he stood in front of you in a protective way... plus... you notice a lot while sat in the back seat." Your dad says as you look at him, confused. "The whole time you were driving he kept watching you, like he was admiring you." He explained to you. You sat there mouth open in shock as you heard footsteps. You look over and saw Connor walking up next to the bench.

You give a half smile to Connor then looked out towards the view in front of you. "Nice view, huh? We used to come here a lot before..." Your dad started to say to Connor but stood as he begins to drink again.

"Before what?" Connor asked, confused. "Hmm?" Your dad hums. "You said we used to come here a lot before. Before what?" Connor asked, again. "Before... before nothin'..." You dad mutters.

"Can I ask your personal question, Lieutenant?" Connor asked as he folds his arms across his chest. "Do all Androids ask so many personal questions or is it just you?" Your dad asked Connor. "I saw a photo of a child... on your kitchen table." Connor said and your dad turns away from him as you look at your lap.

Hank Status: Friend but decreased

"It was your son, right?" Connor asked. "Yeah... his name was Cole." Your dad mutters, sadly. You place your hand on his shoulder and your dad pulls you into a side hug for a few moments. Connor walks a few steps in front of the bench and said. "We're not making any progress on this investigation... the Deviants have nothing in common. They're all different models, produced at different times, in different places..."

"Well, there must be some link." Your dad said.

"rA9." You said, tapping your foot on the ground and the two look at you. Connor points at you and said. "Correct! They have this same obsession with rA9. It's almost like some kind of...myth. Something they invented that wasn't part of their original program..."

"Androids believing in God." You remarked and Connor looks at you. "Fuck, what's this world coming to?" Your dad asked as he drinks again.

"You seem preoccupied, Lieutenant... is it something to do with what happened back at the Eden Club?" Connor asked him.

"Those two girls... they just wanted to be together... they really seemed... in love..." Your dad said, thoughtfully. "They can simulate human emotions, but they're machines. And machines don't feel anything." Connor remarked and you look down at your lap, sadly.
