Rain poured down on the windshield as your dad pulled up to the only place you and him ate at, a food truck called the Chicken Feed. He turns the car off and gets out, leaving you and Connor behind. You knew he was still upset with you, and you hated it. He was your dad and you love him even if he is the biggest grump in the world.

You sigh and open your door as you see him crossing the road making it to the food truck, you jog across the road to catch up with him, only to see him talking to Pedro.

"Come on, this is different, it's one hundred percent guaranteed. You can't go wrong." Pedro said to your dad. "Yeah, right..." Your dad muttered back as he catches sight of you.

"Alright, I'm in." Your dad said to Pedro as he pulls some cash out of his pocket, you roll your eyes at this. Once again your dad was gambling, you really shouldn't have been surprised.

"Damn straight! Oh hey mini Hank!" Pedro exclaimed as your dad pats his shoulder. "I told you not to call me that!" You call out as Pedro walks away then shouts over his shoulder. "Sorry! You won't regret this!"

Connor walks up beside you as your dad notices him, and glares at you like you let him out. "What is your problem?" Your dad asked, clearly annoyed. "Don't you ever do as you're told? Look, you don't have to follow me or Y/N around like a poodle!" He sighs then turns his attention to the TV inside the food truck.

"I'm sorry for my behaviour at the police station. I didn't mean to be unpleasant." Said Connor, apologetically. Your dad chuckles at this.

"Oh, wow... You've even got a brown-nosing apology program." He said, smiling, you shook your head and laughed.

Hank Status: Warm but rising

"Guys at CyberLife thought of everything, huh?" Your dad chuckles as Gary gives him, his food and drink. "Thanks, Gary. I'm starving..." Your dad says after he pays for his food. "Anything for you, Y/N?" Gary asked you. "Um..."

"She'll have her usual, you know my kid." Your dad calls out as Gary chuckles and you smile, awkwardly. Gary starts making your usual as you stand there and wait.

"Thank you." You say as you pay for your food while your dad walks away. "Don't leave that thing here!" Gary said as he points at Connor. "Huh, not a chance! Follows me and Y/N everywhere..." Your dad said. "But mostly follows my kid like a lost puppy."

"Real funny, dad." You said sarcastically, and you start to follow your dad until Gary speaks up. "You look really good today, Y/N." You stop and turn to him then look at Connor whose LED was yellow. "Oh... Thank you." You reply, nervously.

"No problem, I mean you always look good." Gary then says, as you laugh nervously. Gary has never said anything like this to you before, because you were always usually glued to your dads side when you guys came here. "I don't but, thank you."

"Would you maybe like to go out soon?" Gary asked, this made your eyes widen in confusion. "I'm pretty busy at the moment, our new case is important and time consuming." You respond, starting to fiddle with your sleeves. "It doesn't even have to be for long."

"She said she's busy. You should respect her answer." You heard Connor say as you turn to look at him, his LED a solid red. You turn back to Gary who was glaring at Connor.

Y/N Status: Warm but rising

"Oh, I think I get it now. You and this piece of plastic are... fucking." Gary spat at you both. "Huh? What? No!" You said, defensively as Gary rolls his eyes and scoffs. "Sure... have fun with your plastic toy."
