Just a Malfunction| Connor x Reader D:bh (female)

Connor, that's suicide...

Markus, North and Josh took you and Connor to an abandoned church, where the other residents of Jericho were recuperating, wondering what will come next for them.

You were sat in a corner still slightly shivering from being cold, Markus had left to go somewhere but suggested you stayed away from any other Androids just in case they didn't like your presence. Connor stood a few steps away from you his LED a constant yellow, you stood up and slowly moved over to him.

You walked up behind him and hugged him from behind he tensed up for a moment before taking ahold of your arms and turns himself around and pulls you into a tight embrace. "I... I'm sorry for aiming a gun at you, Y/N."

"Connor, I know you didn't actually want to, it was your programming." You replied as Connor lifts your chin up with his thumb and index finger. "I still feel bad... I could have killed you..." He mumbled as you place a hand on his cheek. "But you didn't, you made your own decision. I'm proud of you." You said, softly. Connor was about to say something but you heard footsteps coming up behind you both.

You both pull apart and turn around to see Markus, who had returned from where he went. Connor slightly looks up at him but turns his head away before he speaks. "It's my fault... the humans managed to locate Jericho... I was stupid..." He said his voice filled with sadness and guilt.

"Connor, don't say that..." You said, soothingly.

"I should've guessed they were using me." He said as he looks down. Then he steps up and walks up to Markus. "I'm sorry, Markus... I can understand if you decide not to trust me..." He said.

Markus looks at you then towards Connor and said. "You're one of us, now. Your place is with your people." Connor smiles slightly as Markus then turns to you and said. "I never thought I'd see a human go out their way for one of us." You start to feel as if this wasn't going to go well as he continues. "But you were willing to give up your life to protect me. That makes you one of us too." 

"I... Thank you." You said, smiling at him.

Markus smiles back at you and nods at you and was about to walk away when Connor speaks up. "There are thousands of Androids at the CyberLife assembly plant." Markus stops and turns as he looks at Connor. "If we could wake them up, they might join us and shift the balance of power..." Connor said.

"You wanna infiltrate the CyberLife Tower?" Markus asked as you and him stare at Connor in confusion. "Connor, that's suicide..." Markus said with concern.

"They trust me, they'll let me in. If anyone has a chance of infiltrating CyberLife, it's me." Connor said, firmly. You pull his arm and force him to look at you. "Are you insane? If you go there, they will kill you." You said, angrily. He takes your hand off of his arm and holds it as he says. "There's a high probability... but statistically speaking, there's always a chance for unlikely events to take place..."

You bite the inside of your mouth trying to calm yourself down as Markus places his hand on Connors shoulder. Connor turns to look at Markus as Markus said. "Be careful..." then he gives a nod to him as he walks away to talk to some of his people.

"Y/N..." Connor said as you removed your hand from his. Connors felt his heart break when he realised you were angry at him, your stress level at 76%. "Please don't ignore me..." He says as you turn to glare at him. "I can't lose you, Connor." You said, shaking slightly. "I promise, Y/N. I'll be okay. And I will come back to you." He said as he takes your hand in his once again.

You glare at him as he pulls you towards him wrapping his arms around you. He buries his face into the crook of your neck. "Don't make promises you can't keep." You grumbled, as Connor kisses your neck in an attempt to calm you down. "If you don't come back to me, I'll find you and shoot you. I'm not joking." You said as Connor looks into your eyes and smiles at this.
