Just a Malfunction| Connor x Reader D:bh (female)

"Hank, did you break him?" You ask your dad who looks at Connor. "Hey Connor!" Your dad shouts at Connor, who had his eyes closed. Connor opens them to see that he was standing in an elevator of a building. You and your dad were both stood in the hallway, staring at him. "You ran outta batteries or what?" Your dad asked him. "I'm sorry, I was making a report to CyberLife." Connor replied.

Both you and your dad stare at him slightly jealous it was that easy for him to make a report. Your dad then asked, in a teasing tone. "Well, do you plan on staying in the elevator?"

"No! I'm coming." Connor said in a extremely innocent way. You and your dad begin to walk down the hall as your dad asked. "What do we know about this guy?"

"Not much." Connor replied as he walks out of the elevator. "Just that a neighbour reported that he heard strange noises coming from this floor. Nobody's supposed to be living here, but the neighbour said he saw a man hiding an LED under his cap."

"Oh God, if we have to investigate every time someone hears a strange noise, we're gonna need more cops." Your dad said as the three of you walk down the hall and come up on the last door on the right.

Connor walks up to the door and knocks a couple of times. No response. Connor looks over at you two as you both shrug at him in response. Connor looks back at the door then knocks even harder. "Anybody home?" He asked, loudly. "Open up! Detroit Police!"

Suddenly, a crash came from inside of the room. All three of you jump, slightly as you and your dad pull out your guns. "Stay behind us." You said to Connor. "Got it." Said Connor as your dad stands in front of the door, you stood next to him as Connor stood directly behind you.

You and your dad aim your guns at the door as your dad lifts his leg and kicks the door in. You and your dad slowly walk in as you look around the hall, then into the two empty rooms Connor following close behind you.

Finally, you two approached the door at the end of the hall, Connor stood just behind you. You and your dad stand by the door and nod at each other. You then stand in front of the door and kicks it in, causing a few birds to shoot out of the room and fly straight at you.

You let out a small squeal as you back up losing your footing. You stumble back but felt someone catch you before you fell. You look up and see that it was Connor who caught you. "Thanks..." You said as he helps you regain balance. "You're welcome, Y/N." Connor said as your dad walks into the room and shouts. "What the fuck is this?!"

You and Connor walk in the room to see there was tons of birds all around the floor, but the smell was horrible. Other than that, the whole place looked abandoned. "This place is creepy." You said as Connor goes over to a dresser on the right and saw a military jacket with R.T on it.

"R.T. probably initials." Connor said as he then moves towards the cabinet next to the dresser. "He put his initials on his jacket?" You asked, curious. "That's something your mom does when you're in first grade." Your dad exclaims as you move over to a poster on the wall, you notice that it seems to be covering something, you pull it down and it reveals a hole in the wall. You then see a small journal in there and pull it out and flip through some of the pages.

"You find something kid?" Your dad asks as you look over at him. "Oh yeah, it's some kind of journal... looks like it's some sort of code." You reply as he glances down at it, looking as confused you.

Connor looks over the cabinet and found a drivers license to a Rupert Travis. "The drivers license is fake." Connor informed you both, as you put the journal in your back pocket and move towards Connor. "Cool! At least we didn't come for nothing..." Your dad said, sarcastically.
