Chapter 3: Alone Together

4 years Later...

Anakin and his former master, Qui-Gon Jinn, were on their way to Senator Amidala, aka Padme's apartment. There has been an assasination on her, thankfully it wasn't successful. Qui-Gon's hair has gone completely grayish, but even though he's slower, he's much wiser. Anakin has grown much taller, his height even surpasses Obi-Wan's height.

"You look nervous." said Qui-Gon.

"Not all." said Anakin.

"Relax, my former apprentice, take a deep breath."

"I haven't seen her in ten years, Qui-Gon."

It's true, even though Anakin was already a knight, infact, has been a knight for about four years now, Anakin was still shy. Even though attachment was forbidden, Anakin just couldn't get over his small crush on Padme. He was only nine years old when he had first met her. He saw a woman that just had a huge resemblance to Padme.

"Pad?" he asked.

"Ani?" asked Padme, "My goodness you've grown."

"Well, so have you. Ever more beautiful."

Padme suddenly felt a bit awkward. Anakin had a calm smile. They all began a conversation about security and investigating. Anakin's smile always made Padme feel warm and comforted. She has heard about Anakin's very early knighting ceremony. She even heard that he was ridiculously powerful right now. After she retired. Anakin and Qui-Gon were informed that he'll station a guard on every floor.

Later, at Night...

Anakin was waiting outside of Padme's room as she slept. Soon, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan came inside. They noticed that they couldn't see anything in the room. Anakin explained that Padme covered the cameras and that she was using herself as bait, which of course he found was very foolish of the senator, to catch the assassin.

"But don't worry," he said, "I can sense everything going on in that room."

"Very well, Anakin." said Qui-Gon.

Later...

Anakin and the other Jedi were talking. Soon, Anakin sensed something entering Pader's room. He took off at great speed.

"I hate it when he does that." said Obi-Wan as he found his hair blocking his eyes.

"Come on." said Qui-Gon.

They came into the room to already see two small bugs cut in half. Obi-Wan turned to see a droid outside.

"This gonna hurt." he said as he ran towards the window.

Obi-Wan crashed through the window and grabbed onto the droid.

"Oh, boy..." said Anakin, he then ran, "...Qui-Gon, watch over Senator Amidala!"

"Got it." replied Qui-Gon.

Anakin ran until he spotted a speeder. He had to catch and save Obi-Wan...again, for the 3rd time.

Later in the Council Chambers...

Anakin was able to save Padme, but he couldn't save the assassin. She was hit by a toxic dart by a bounty hunter. Anakin and Qui-Gon were discussing the situation.

"Track down this bounty hunter, you must, Qui-Gon." said Master Yoda.

"Most importantly," said Master Windu, "find out who he's working for."

"But Senator Amidala still needs protection." said Qui-Gon.

"Handle that," said Master Yoda, "Anakin will."
