You mean a lot to me

Lucy groaned quietly as she turned in her bed. Her eyes flickered before opening all the way. Taking a deep breath, her eyes went slightly wider as she remembered what today was. She gasped happy and sat up. A few seconds after she did, her bedroom door flung open.
"Happy birthday, Lucy!!" her siblings exclaimed as they walked in, making her smile widely.
"Thank you!!" she beamed. Peter, Susan, and Edmund walked over to her bed and sat down. Lucy hugged Susan tightly, then hugged her brothers.
"Why don't you get dressed, then come down for breakfast? Then you can open your presents." Susan suggested.
Lucy smiled at her. "Okay!" she nodded happily. She pulled her comforter off her and got up from her bed once her siblings had left. After changing into a pretty, rose pink dress and fixing her hair, Lucy headed down to the dining room.
"Happy birthday, Your Majesty." a small faun told her as she passed it in the hallway.
"Thank you." she smiled. She continued walking to the dining room until she reached it, pulling open the door. She sat down beside her sister at the table to see a plate made in front of her.
"Waffles!" she chuckled cheerfully. "My favorite."
Susan smiled. "Mmm-hmm."
After they finished eating, Peter, Susan, and Edmund got the presents they had for Lucy, then went to one of the living rooms where Lucy met them.
They sat down in front of her on a sofa. "You know, you guys actually didn't have to give me anything, though." Lucy said.
"It's your birthday, Lu, of course we were going to get you something. This is your present from me." Peter replied, handing her a wrapped rectangular gift.
She tore the paper and smiled when she saw a book. The Enchanted Forest. Her face lit up as she read the title and looked at the beautiful cover. "Thank you, Peter! I can't wait to read it! It looks so good!" she chirped. Peter smiled at her.
"I'm glad you like it." he said as he hugged his sister.
"This is mine for you." Susan gave her a small wrapped box.
When Lucy opened it she saw a beautiful gold necklace inside. "Oh, Susan it's gorgeous!" she beamed. "Thank you so much!!"
"You're welcome." Susan said softly, hugging her sister back when Lucy wrapped her arms around her.
"And this is from me." Edmund said. He handed her a thin, rectangular gift. Lucy took it with a small smile and tore the paper off. Lucy's eyes went wide and her mouth opened in shock. The present was a picture of the lamppost in a picture frame. The picture was extremely good, but you couldn't take a picture in Narnia...
"Edmund, did you draw this??" Lucy asked. He nodded. "It's beautiful. I didn't know you could draw this well."
"It's not that good." he said.
"It's amazing! I love it. Thank you." she smiled, hugging him. He smiled back.
Once she had put her new things in her room, she went back to her siblings and they discussed what they should do.
"Can we go riding?" Lucy asked.
"Sure." Susan answered while the boys nodded in agreement. "I can pack us a picnic for after, when we get hungry." she suggested.
"That'd be good." Lucy said.
When Susan had packed them a lunch, and they had gotten all ready, they headed to the stables. On the way, they passed Mrs. Beaver who was on her way to the kitchen.
"Hello, Your Majesties! Happy birthday, Queen Lucy." she remarked kindly.
"Thanks, Mrs. Beaver." Lucy thanked.
When they had reached the stables, they saddled up their horses and mounted.
"Where do you want to go?" Peter asked.
Lucy thought. "I don't know....maybe just the woods. The leaves are so pretty this time of year! Then we can pick a nice spot to rest and eat."
"Sounds good." Edmund said.
They rode at a fast pace, trying to win a race that hadn't been announced. Lucy smiled widely as she felt the cool wind blow her fair behind her. She remembered the first time she had ridden a horse.
She hadn't learned how to in England, so she had to learn in Narnia. The horse she had ridden was so gentle and calm. Ever since then, she had loved riding.
They continued riding for a while, before slowing their horses down to a walk. "How about over there?" Susan asked, pointing to a small, nice area in front of them.
"That looks nice. I'm surprised it's that dry since it rained last night." Peter said as they rode towards the area.
They pulled their horses to a halt then dismounted. Susan got the blanket from the basket, spread it out on the ground, and set the basket down.
Lucy looked up walked slowly, admiring the red and golden leaves. She loved all of the seasons, but Autumn was her favorite. Narnia in Fall was so pretty.
Suddenly, because she wasn't looking down, she tripped on something and fell in a small muddy puddle, letting out a gasp.
"Are you okay?" Peter asked hurrying over and helping his sister up.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just tripped." she said. "Guess that spot wasn't dry." she added, straightening out her dress and cloak, sighing when she saw that they were dirty. "I'll have to change when we get home."
They went over to where Susan was sitting on the picnic blanket and joined her. After resting and relaxing for a while, they became hungry and ate the lunch. When they had finished eating and rode a little bit more, they eventually went back to Cair.
They walked through the castle and Lucy began going towards her room. "I'm gonna go get changed." she told her siblings.
"Alright, meet us in the ballroom when you're done." Susan called after her.
"Okay!" Lucy called back. She frowned as she walked. "Wait. The ballroom? Why the ballroom??" she whispered to herself.
When she had changed into a lovely gold dress, she made her way to the ballroom, still confused as to why they were going to be in there and not one of the living rooms or the library. Susan had told her on the way home that they were just going to hang out, maybe play a few games. She reached the ballroom and opened the two doors with both of her hands. Her eyes went wide and her face lit up at what she saw.
"Surprise!!! Happy birthday, Queen Lucy!!" the entire room of Narnians and her siblings shouted. Lucy stood there shocked. There were beautiful decorations hung around the room, a table to the side with a big, wonderfully decorated cake, and many Narnians.
"What?!" Lucy asked in surprise when her sister came over to her. "I had no idea you were planning a party!"
"That's cause it was a surprise!" Edmund told her, walking over.
"Do you like it?" Susan asked.
"Absolutely!" Lucy sang, pulling her sister into a hug. "Thank you."
The night was lovely and joyful. Lucy danced with her two brothers, Tumnus, and a few other Narnians; they all enjoyed a delicious piece of cake made by Susan and Mrs. Beaver, along with some hot chocolate- Lucy's favorite drink; and some of the Narnians even had some small gifts for her. It was one of the best birthdays Lucy had ever had.
Lucy yawned as she sat on her bed in her nightgown after the party was done. The was a quiet knock on the door and then Susan came in.
"Hey." Susan said softly.
"Hey." Lucy replied with a smile.
"Did you have a good birthday?" she asked, walking over to Lucy's bed and sitting down beside her.
Lucy nodded. "It was lovely, Su. Thank you so much for everything."
Susan smiled. "You're welcome." They sat there in silence for a moment before Susan sighed. "Listen, Lu. You're really the best sister I could ever have."
"Thanks, Su."
"I mean it. You're so special, Lucy. You're a ray of sunshine. You help me so many times and you don't even realize it. You mean a lot to me, Lucy. And I love you so much."
"I love you too, Susan." she hugged her sister tightly. Susan got up when they pulled away and walked towards the door.
"Goodnight. Happy birthday, Lu."
Lucy smiled. "Goodnight."
