December 6th | Prompt: Freeze to death

Susan opened the door to the library, hoping to find her sister, but found Peter sitting at a table instead. "Have you seen Lucy?"

Peter looked up from his book. "No..." he answered after thinking for a moment.

"I've been looking for her everywhere. I need her help with making the Christmas ball invitations."

"Maybe she went outside."

Susan sighed and walked out, closing the door behind her. Where is she? Maybe she did go outside.

She made her way to the hallway that led out to the gardens, putting on her coat when she reached the door. She walked outside, shocked at the freezing wind that hit her.

She looked around for a bit, before finding Lucy sat on a bench looking at snow-dusted roses.

"Lucy! I've been looking everywhere for you. How long have you been out here?" she asked, rubbing her hands together for warmth.

"Not too long. I wanted to take a walk and look at the flowers." Lucy replied.

"You're going to freeze to death out here. Won't you come in now? I need your help anyway." she told her.

"Alright." Lucy stood up and went to her sister.

Wrapping her arm around Lucy's shoulder, Susan led her back inside.
