December 11th | Prompt: "Ice cream... in winter?"
Susan turned the page to the book she was reading on the sofa in the library. The only noise in the room was the fire crackling beside her, until the door opened with a creak.
"Hey, Su." Lucy said as she walked into the room, going to sit by her sister.
"Hey. What's up?"
Lucy sighed. "Nothing."
Susan raised an eyebrow at her, knowing she wanted something.
"Well... I was wondering if you wanted to make something with me."
"Like what?"
"Ice cream." Lucy replied.
"Ice cream... in winter?" Susan asked, surprised.
"Yeah, why not? I've been craving it." she answered.
Susan glanced down at her book, longing to keep reading, but eventually said, "Alright. Let's go." And the two Queens made their way to the kitchen.
"Which flavor do you want to make?" Susan asked her little sister.
"Blueberry?" Lucy suggested, and Susan nodded.
When they reached the kitchen, they began pulling out the ingredients: blueberries, sugar, cream, and milk.
Lucy mixed the blueberries, sugar, and water together, while Susan mixed the cream and milk.
When it was all mixed together, they put it to freeze.
"It's going to take a few hours, isn't it?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, we've got to wait until it's firm." Susan replied.
Lucy sighed. She knew it would've taken a while for it to be ready, but she was still a tiny bit disappointed. But at least she would enjoy it later.
