Steve's P.O.V.
This mission is a no-brainer. As long as Melody and Buck get the hint as to what we need them to do, we should be able to bring them home. This should be easy... right?
"Are you ready, Cap? We need to get going." Tony knocked on the hotel room door before he pushed it open. Looking at the watch on his wrist.
I adjusted my tie in the mirror before nodding. Turning around to walk towards him. "I'm ready. This is probably the most important mission we have ever done."
Tony nodded a little as he held the door open for me to grab. Leading me down the hall to the elevator. "I would disagree but I know you have a bias here."
We sat in silence for a couple of minutes as the elevator started to go down to the first floor.
"Do you remember where you need to be?"
I nodded. "To the right of the door, by the Military booth, where they won't see me."
"Exactly."
The doors slid open to the lobby of the hotel. It was slightly crowded due to the number of people waiting to get into the convention. I didn't think it would be such a huge thing but then again, Tony is here. Anything with him is a big thing.

The start went smoothly, the convention was going as planned. Tony was in the back getting ready for his presentation auction thing that he had planned. That's how he wanted to get HYDRA's attention.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. Please give a warm welcome to Tony Stark." A voice blared over the intercoms as Tony walked out onto the stage.
"Hello. Hello!" He started talking.
I stood by the door to the second conference room, hiding behind a cutout for the U.S. Military.
The crowds of people that filled the center started to flock toward the second room where Tony was doing his presentation.
I took a step towards the door to hold it open for two heartbreaking familiar faces.
She looked over at me, with a little nod as she followed him into the conference room. She stuck her hand out behind her back towards me.
I slipped a small object into her hand before stepping away from the door. Letting it close behind them. The once-roaring convention center was now oddly quiet as only a few people were still looking around at the booths.

Melody's P.O.V.
~ Earlier that morning ~
"Brock," I growled as I yanked down the bottom of the pencil skirt that wrapped tight around my waist. "Who the fuck picked out this outfit? They had no clue what we were doing today."
It was like I could hear Brock's eyes roll in response to my question. He turned to hand me my shoulder holster. "You will be fine. Stop complaining. I've seen you do this in more difficult things."
I forced out a fake ass laugh before staring at him blank-faced. Grabbing my holster from him and putting it on. I grabbed two of my preferred guns and put them in the holsters before putting on my blazer. My coat was a little big on me, making sure that my holster would go unnoticed.
Shortly after I was ready, Bucky was brought into the room to grab his gear. He was wearing a white button-up under a gray blazer with gray slacks. I couldn't help but take my eyes off of him, they cleaned him up very well for this mission. A good shave and a haircut. If I didn't think I would have gotten shot I might have jumped his bones then and there.
"If I'm stuck wearing this all day, can you please get someone to grab my gear from my room so I can change at some point?"
"Why are you- Ugh." Brock walked away, picking up his cell phone. "Can you bring..." he kept walking away, getting quieter.
The other officers helped us load into the car we would be taking. One of them was dressed up as a driver. He would be taking us to the convention.
I crawled into the back seat next to Bucky. "We got this." I forced a smile as I looked at home.
He nodded and didn't say a word. Eyes straight ahead, empty.
"Alright, here." Brock shoved a large purse through the window of the car. "There is a change of clothes. Your normal work attire."
"Thank you." I pushed the bag onto the floor in front of me before rolling the window back up. "Let's go."
We waited just a couple more seconds before the officer turned the car on and opened the garage door. Behind us was a van full of HYDRA officers that were ready to intervene if backup was needed.

As usual, the ride took about an hour or two. The base was so far away from everything, it was always a trip to get anywhere. When we got to the venue the driver dropped us out in front.
Bucky got out first, walking around to hold my door open and reaching his hand out for mine. "We got this."
A smile spread across my face as I heard his voice for the first time today. I nodded in return a little, reaching out to take his hand and step out of the car. I grabbed the bag and threw it over my shoulder, the clicks of my heels rumbling against the sidewalk as we made our way to the door.
"A change of clothes?" Bucky let out a chuckle as he tugged on my bag.
"Excuse you, James. They spoiled us with high quality. That's good leather." I leaned against him as I walked, nudging him slightly.
He laughed, "Oh. Okay."
We walked around for a short while. Bucky did all of the talking. I played my role and acted as the assistant, handing out business cards and inquiring about theirs.
As soon as the intercoms echoed, introducing Tony, we followed the crowds towards a separate room.
At the door stood my brother. My heart ached as soon as I saw him. I wanted to hug him, hold him, I missed him so much.
Bucky noticed my demeanor change once he saw Steve. He grabbed my hand and pulled me off to the side. "You got this, Mel. Keep it together."
I nodded, my eyes locked onto his as I tried my best not to cry. Breathing in and out as I closed my eyes. "Ok. Ok. I got this."
Steve opened the door for us as we made our way back towards him. Smiling softly as he watched me.
I couldn't help myself. As I walked past him I reached my hand back, hoping he would just grab me. I felt his fingers in my palm before he dropped something, letting me slip away with the item.
Bucky walked towards the back corner, away from the rest of the crowd, watching the stage. Staying on my right side as he wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close.
I brought my hands in front of me to see what I had. It was two earpieces. I little smile spread across my lips before I held one in front of Bucky.
He took it out of my hand and placed it in his ear. Pulling me impossibly closer to his side before leaning down to leave a soft pack on my head.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a person to my left. She had blonde hair, in a long braid, with a heavy accent.  "We don't have much time before they will be here. Are you ready?"
I smiled, wrapping my arm around Bucky's waist, and grabbing onto his jacket. "I'm ready."
