"Good morning, Frederick!" [ Y/N ] smiled at his tank while feeding him. It was about thirty minutes or so before school, and since they found themselves prepared and ready, [ Y/N ] had decided to spend some quality time with Frederick.
After a few minutes went by, [ Y/N ] thought that enough time was spent and that they should be heading off now.
Calmly pacing their way downstairs for once instead of rushing, [ Y/N ] grabbed their bag hanging from the coat racket, carefully checking inside to make sure that everything was in there.
Sighing in relief at the sight of nothing missing or left behind, [ Y/N ] was about to close their bag before pausing oddly. They specifically stared at their notebook.
A sudden calm yet weird sense of nostalgia flooded their mind with cryptic thoughts not even [ Y/N ] themselves could understand. But after the seconds passed by, [ Y/N ] was able to focus once again.
'Huh.. odd.' They shook off the familiar odd feeling and blinked a few times, still gazing down at their notebook. A few minutes go by before they close their bag and head off now.
[ Y/N ] swung their bag around their shoulder and smiled, walking towards their door and opening it. However it seemed a small surprise had been awaiting outside their door.
